1.
WOW!!!!! Tammy you look great. I look reading all the posts. I don't respond much. I had my 4th fill last Monday. I have PB'd about 5 times this week vs. 2 times in 6 months. I think I finally have the restriction I have been hearing about. I'm happy but a little scared. I'm not sure why. I've lost 33 pounds since March 16 and have about 30 to go.

Good luck to eveyone.

2. Thanks for your response. I have enjoyed reading your responses to other questions. You have had such great success. My doc wants us to get like "normal" people and not to diet. This is a life long habit that i am tryig to break and look were it got me. It is just hard. Thanks.
3. Hi. I was banded March 16, 2007. I have enjoyed following the boards. I went in for my 3rd fill yesterday. I had gained 5 pounds. (I think alot of that was Water, I started today) anyway, my doc asked if I was eating "diet food". I have been. He said the band would not work if I cont. to do this. He said you must eat Protein, and a good fat source at each meal and then veggies and cards. He said if I looked at labels only look at carbs and keep that in check. What advice have ya'll been given? Thanks.
4. I completly understand your pain at work. I had the same job for about a year. It was very stressfull. My clients lived independently but also had PCA (personal care assistances). I was "in charge" of the clients and the PCA's (staffing, ect..) I am now teaching 1 st grade and I'm not sure what is worse. THe only good thing is my 1st graders do not call me at 1:00 am with a "problem". HAng in their with your weight loss. All you can do is take it one day at a time. Maybe even one hour at a time. I was banded March 16 and have lost about 20 pounds. I will not get a fill until MAy 9. I am strating to get hunger the last day or so. Other than that I feel better. @0 pounds has made a differnce in the way I feel. ANyway good luck and feel free to vent to me anytime. No one understand the job you have unless they have been our shoes.
5. Thanks for posting. I am 31 and was banded 3/16/07. I have a 21 month old boy and would like to have another baby once I finsh grad school and get my weight off. (Before I turn 35) I hate to ask but how much did you gain. When did you have a unfill? I gained about 40 pounds w/ my baby but I started out at around 195. (not good) 21 months later I still weighed 232. I could not get myself together to lose the weight. I am happy with my decission to have the lap band. I have lost 18 pounds so far. My only concern is how pregency will affect my band. Any more details would be great. Congrats on such a BEAUTIFUL BABY!!!!!What a Joy!!!!!!!!
6. I sorry. I was bande 3-16-07. Thanks.
7. What is evferyone eating? I was banded on 4/16/07. My doc wants us on full liquids (yougurt, pudding, broth, popsciles) for 4 weeks. I have not had any problems. I am over all of my pain, except a little at night after a long day. I go to the doc tomorrow. I am want to move to mushies but don't know what to do. I am hungry and going a little crazy. I am getting protein from EAS shakes. ANy suggestions. By the way I love reading these boards!!!!!
8. Hey!! I'm from Shreveport and was banded on March 16 by Dr. M. Besides alot of pain at first, I am doing well. I am tried of liquids but I am sticking to it. Good Luck.
9. Wow!!!! I stayed in the hospital overnight. I did not want to go home. I was in sooooooooooooooo much pain. I could not go tho the bathroom either. They had to put a cathader (sp?) in overnight. My doc said some people feel little to no pain and other it feels like they went in with a sleg hammer. I am 13 days poet op and doing 100% better. I am not taking any more pain meds. This pain was worst theen my c-section. Good Luck.
10. :phanvan I think she looks great. She lost a whole person. Of course she is going to look different. We ( people on this site) she be supportive. This is how people will talk about us once we lose all our weight. Just think about it.
11. What does PB mean? I an new. Thanks.
12. I got my lapband on Friday March 16. I also felt PAIN!!!!!!! It was worse than my c-section. I am doing much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am feeling alittle hungry but not wanting to eat. I am getting tired of liquids. My Doc has his pts on full liquids for 4 weeks. One of the strictest I have heard of. I an going to do exactly what he says. He has very good reccomendations. Hang in there. I keep thinking of how good I will look and feel this time next year!!
13. I mean March 16, 2007. Still not used to the new date.
14. Hello. I am new. I was banded on March 16, 2006. I must say i was not expecting SOOOOOO MUCH PAIN. I was scheduled to stay over night b/c my insurance would pay for it. (Thank the LORD). I do not know how people go home the same day. I could not use the bathroom so They put a catherder (Spelling) in. The remove it the next day and I was able to go. Today I am doing better. I did develope thrash on my tongue (yuck). My doctor called in some meds. He said it happens sometimes after surgery. I am feeling much better!!!!! I hate to scare anyone but the pain was awfull. I am pretty tough too. Good Luck to all. I am still happy with my choice and look forward to a slim future. Thanks.
