  1. We looked at Southwest and it was rather confusing. We checked the box for "round trip" and then "Get away" was the cheapest flights. However it looked like you had to pick a departing flight and a returning flight and after that was chosen, the price was higher than the other site we found. Southwest wanted to charge over a $1000 for 2 people when the other site charge 850. Am I doing something wrong?
  2. Hello! I am currently trying to book a flight to San Diego for surgery and I was wondering if anyone has any tricks to getting the tickets cheap. If you have any insight on the subject, please let me know! Thanks Everyone.
  3. I say go with what you feel comfortable with...Besides black men love THICK woman--ask me...LOL My man is afraid of me losing the breasts and booty. But at this point--I am unhappy and this weight has got to go. I am 5'2 as well and I looked good at 145-150. When I was 115-120--I looked like I was anorexic. Everyone thought I was on drugs or starving myself. I think you should stop the weight loss when you achieve the results YOU are looking for. Congrats on your loss---I can't wait!
  4. I have the same question...So I guess we will be dumb together..lol
  5. I think the decision is ultimately up to you but your BMI is not high at all. I'm a little surprised that you want to do something this drastic with not a lot of weight to lose. You should read some stories "POST OP" and see if this is something you really want to do. That might help you make your decision. Will your insurance cover you with your BMI?
  6. WOWWWWWW!!!! I can't imagine what that feels like! CONGRATS!
  7. Good luck Ed!!! I think you are making a great choice! I will be getting sleeved next month! Congratulations on your journey and welcome to the forum!
  8. CONGRATS!!! Welcome to the forum! You will LOVE it! The people on here are so inspiring, informational, encouraging, compassionate, etc, etc, etc....I could go on and on...I am new to the forum too and I absolutely love it. My surgery date is July 28th as well but I will be having surgery in Mexico with Dr. Kelly. Good luck with your journey! See you on the losers bench soon!
  9. Tamz...I am not here to lecture you--you are grown...But I can see where everyone is worrying about you honey...You seem to be "pushing it". I am pre op and by no way am I telling you what to do or how to feel--I have no idea yet what you ladies and gentleman are going through and how difficult it is. I am scared myself. But it seems like everyday you get on here and post another forum about how you tried something that isn't recommended by your dr. I can tell that the people on this site are very caring and supportive. I think they just want you to succeed and without problems. And if you keep doing these things, you might possibly end up with something wrong....This is a SUPPORT group and that is what they are here for--to guide and support you. They can't support you easily if they are constantly worrying about what you are going to try next. But just as you said, you are NOT perfect (NO ONE IS) but please PLEASE try to stick to the diet your dr gave you. If you need something more detailed to tell you the "DON'T DO's"--then call them and tell them that. I am sure they can print you out something. We are all here for each other, we are here to root you on and here to watch your progress! Stick with it TAMZ--you can do it! You will be back eating SMALL portions of your fav foods in no time!
  10. Anyone else extremely nervous besides me?
  11. I am planning on July 28th. I'm trying to get my flight handled and then I am calling to schedule surgery. However I have talked to Trish and she said the 28th is fine. Hopefully I will still be there to meet all of you! I would really like that! Best of luck on your surgery... See you next month!
  12. Prayin' for you! I do think you are in good hands though!
  13. Hey Tamz! I don't know the answer to your question as I am pre-op but I wanted to see how you were doing. I read your post yesterday and I felt really bad for you. Is your pain and discomfort better today? I'm really scared of post-op but I just keep trying to tell myself it is only temporary and it's something I just have to do to get where I want. I'm telling myself that now---after surgery--I will probably be a basket case
  14. WOW is all I can say!!!! You look BEAUTIFUL! And your waist looks tiny!!!
  15. Did you have to pay the down payment to get the surgery date? Were you all told that you have to do anything before surgery besides a weeks diet?
  16. I am either trying for the 28th or 29th. My stepmom is going with me. I was thinking "surgery on the 28th after I arrive and leave on Monday?"
  17. I am looking to have surgery with Dr Kelly in mid to late July as well. My stepmom is going with me as support but I would love to go the same time as you. Mine will probably be towards late July. Trish said the price goes up in August!
  18. CONGRATS!!! You are WORKIN that sleeve! I bet your fiance was so happy for you too! They finally get to see us truly happy! I can't wait for my day! Way to go!
  19. CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is AMAZING!!! And you are BEAUTIFUL!!
  20. WOW...That really hit home! I can't wait for my victory! Congratulations on yours!
  21. I agree completely! I'm tired of hearing the same remarks you are! I say if this is what you want to do---DO IT! I personally want something to help me. I NEED help. If I didn't, I wouldn't be where I am today!
  22. All I can say is DITTO!!! You look GREAT and so much YOUNGER! CONGRATS!!!
