Thank you so much for the kind words!!! It's nice to hear things like that. I'm very nervous and very anxious at the same time. My insurance covers all of the weight loss surgeries but I have a strong feeling that I will get through the 6 month supervised diet only for insurance to deny me and my out of pocket expense will almost be as much as paying for the surgery. So I am going to take my chances and have the surgery done in Mexico. I'm really excited though---I weighed today and have lost 15 pounds. YAY!! Sorry, I just wanted to tell someone. But thank you again for reassuring me that I will be in good hands! I needed that!

You seem so compassionate and supportive and I must say,I want this done soooo bad but I just finished reading all of these leak stories and I'm thinking to myself "OMG, what am I going to do if this happens to me? How is insurance going to be if I have complications from a surgery done in MX? Are they going to pay the medical bills if something were to go wrong?

Wow...I'm so sorry to hear that! I have to admit...stories like this scare me to death. I don't do well with pain or nausea...My stepmom is going with me for surgery when I go and I told her to prepare herself because I might turn into a baby after surgery. I'm very nervous about the post op healing process. I hope you get better and fast!

Thanks! I was wondering about that...It looks like I might need Short Term Disability or FMLA cause I definitly don't have that much vacation left. LOL

How long on average are you out of work? I'm thinking about Surgery with Dr. Kelly in Mexico. How long does he write you out for? I have told my supervisor what I am planning to do and she is supportive but I don't know how long to tell her I will be out of work. Can you help?

Hi Linda!!! Congratulations on beginning your journey! I too am new to this. I would have never considered the choice I am making without the courage of the ladies on here. I am planning to have my surgery in Mexico with Dr. Kelly because, I too, am paying out of pocket. I don't know if that is something you would ever consider but these ladies on here that have had surgery performed by Dr. Kelly have not had one negative word to say about him. Either way you decide--CONGRATS!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this and have really enjoyed reading everyone's stories the past couple of days. I never thought I would consider this but thanks to all of the great stories on here, I am considering surgery with Dr. Kelly in Mexico. I have read and read and I can't seem to find complaints about him or Trish. Everyone has such pleasant experiences. Is there anything that anyone should tell me that I don't know? I would greatly appreciate any responses, even if they are bad ones. Thank you to everyone! Christy
