1. My surgeon's office just called and because I previously had the H-pylori they want my GI Dr. to give me a medical release for surgery. I haven't see him since 2010, and I hope he will just say I am fine, and sign the darn thing,, I am praying he will not require another endoscopy- no time no money, and I used a different Dr. since for my colonsocopy. ahg.. It was all going so well. Anyone else had to go back n do this with OUT having to have the procedure done again ?? I figured my reports would be all I needed!
2.

Was there NOT a new law passed that killed the " previous conditions clause"
3. Stay busy so you dont think about it.- Paint a room, clean out your closet, go see about a new park you never been to and walk there, write letters to servicemen who have been in combat. I have not had surgery yet, but have been in very hard places in my life and only way to control my own head was to fill it with something else besides my present circumstances. You will make iT
4. :lol:If we can just all think very positive and send all that energy to the ins agents!!! right?? Prayer - hope -and faith will get yas there, remind me after OCT- 6th,,, when My paper work goes in!
5. I think I have belonged to them all but LA fitness to me, as been the cleanest and most updated of them all. I can re join Ballys for 99 for the year, but havent looked at the ones nearer where I live n work. I hate driving far- and in traffic so, im thinking local community cneter for Zumba classes may be better for now? good luck,, best place to look ladies bathrooms... see if there is mold anywhere...
6. Wow so sorry to hear bout your hubby, maybe something will change, I hope you get all your stuff done with plenty of time. I wish you the best as well. gotta just keep pluggin- I have time for some vacation but this whole process is anyhwere from 2 weeks to two months depending on how long everything takes w ins. push come to shove I will just ASK, after I'm hired. I have not heard anything, but that's good,, the longer they take the better. I really hope all will be well with you and family.
7. I did call fepblue, and they could only tell me about my own benefits, and cis is citizen &immigration. So far their HR has not responded to a general question. I did a phone interview and really do not want to approch them further locally. I just wanted to know my options. The longer they take the better, I hate not KNOWING when surgery will be. Oct -NOv, sounds so in the air as to when you can say you can start.
8. Weeee congrats!
9. wow that is right around the corner!!! Sept is flying! and now with this poss job change I am freaked, I can't find out if the agency has the same FEDblue and with the same plan and I DO not want to ask before I get the offer in my hand, Does anyone know if CIS has fepblue? I have posted several feelers out there to see and emailed their HR---- nada so far, I just cant give up this opportunity- not do I want to delay this surgery,,
10. I may have a good chance for a job change with a different agency and it be well worth my time to take it, so far they have gotten a reference from my supervisor so it looks good. I have e-mailed HR (VT) and trying very hard to find out if CIS carries the Fepblue with the 3 mo WLS lapband plan - no answer ---If you know anyone who works for them, If they have the BCBS fed plan and if the coverage is the same with the same WLS prerequisites, please let me know... I know it is alot to ask, but the job is falling right in the middle of when the surgery could take place. - I am stressed because I do not have a surgery date until after OCT 6 when paper works is submitted, and I really would like to know what to say, with out giving all my surgery details, should they send me a job offer. I know I am rambling, It's like too many blessing at once!
11. I do not see how they keep changing the plan at drop of a hat- it is a contract- you pay a premium for certain coverage, and the rules should NOT change, Idd call ins comish of that state, and complain

13. I have Fepblu and 2010 to 2011 rules have changed, so it best to call your ins co's and see where you are, with your surgeon.
14. Well meetings are now thurs at 6pm. I usually eat some place and head over, I live alone, so just someone to share with and see 1st hand what people have to say. It's great! I do understand about after wrk and waiting around when you live that far out. I live in clearwater so its not too bad. I am sooo glad I found Dr Aguila, I feel very comfortable with the whole team. Congratulations BANSTERS... feel better and hang in there!
15. I spent 3 yrs trying to figure how to go to the bathroom normally with out harsh meds and sother remedies. I started taking just some cheap wally world PRO-BIOTICS and wala, I do not fail, and went to gastro drs and and all kids of tests, trust me some times simple is better, and water water water. I am pre-op and I checked all my inners to makes ure this was not going to cause me grief getting the lap band. I will stand by the pro-biotics,
16. Congrats ladies,,, I think my Sept is gonna FLY- my last weigh in is Oct 7 and pkg should be submited then - so I hope it comes back soon. How long has been your wait time w insurance?
17. So how long was wait from surgeon submittal to approvals?
18. I have to complete the full 90 days, 3 visits be 60 days total, adding days forward. So Oct. 6, 2011, I weigh in and they check all my info, letters, the full package for the insurance and fax it, soon as they can, I prefer e-mail but not done that way. So 4 visit = 90 days. If i could get banded in OCT I would be estatic. but Nov. will do. What I don't get is why it should take longer than a few days to process an approval. they are not federal... let me shut my trap.
19. HI! any of you go to the support group meetings ? ! I have been going even though not banded, mine will be late Oct /Nov depending on insurance, Congratulation!!!! JMH- Fadnomore and you too Floridays. I do know one banded blogger I am not sure what blog she is on-but she is one of the recovery nurses. So maybe you will have her or have had her. It is nice to know, some on there knows exactly what you talking about! let us know how it goes!
20. great site keeps me accountable and keeps me on track so I know by noon what I can spend lol.. like a check book
21. I am sure you are NOT the only one in that line of patients, but maybe this is a blessing in desguise, better to avoid a problem than complications later. For what ever her reasons, you are better OFF, be very sure to get your records! and find an alternative Dr and keep in contact with insurance co so you dont have to start over, Sometimes things happen for a GOOD reason... Keep us posted! I am sure it is gonna be better than OK
