  3. I fly every weekend and have noticed that I have been having more issues with my band being tighter. I was at my sweet spot and now I get stuck daily (for the past 2 weeks). The only thing I can relate to the problem is the flying. I know it isn't supposed to have an impact, but has anyone else experienced similar issues?
  4. Relief!!! The PA took out the 1cc that she put in last month and I instantly felt better. Too tight indeed!
  5. After not being able to get broth down comfortably today I called and am going in for an unfill tomorrow.
  6. I am going to ask for .5cc to be taken out of mine as well next week. They can just take it out like they put it in.
  7. I can eat, it is just pretty uncomfortable. I think I'll give them a call.
  8. Doing pretty good! I was banded on 5/27 and am down 50 lbs now. I have had 2 fills (3cc total in a 10cc band) and think I need to have .5cc taken out. I'm having some struggles since about a week after my last fill. Aside from that, I am about to get back to the gym. I had to stop about 6 weeks ago because I kept breaking out into hives every time I worked out. I must be allergic
  9. You are fortunate that they take it! I have only found 2 restaurants in Vegas that will accept it.
  10. I had my 2nd fill 3 weeks ago. I am at 3 cc in a 10 cc band. I was fine the first week (definitely had restriction) but since week 2 I have been having a LOT of trouble with getting stuck. Basically every meal I do...even with taking very small bites. I can't even take a large drink of water without it coming back up. Isn't it unusual for it to be delayed like that? I thought I could hold out until my appt next week but everything I seem to eat/drink is uncomfortable going down.
  11. I can't do scrambled eggs or omelets anymore. I have to have my eggs over medium. That started with my 2nd fill. I have heard of several people having the same issue.
  12. Exactly...this isn't about speed weight loss. It is about permanent weight loss. This whole journey is about changing your lifestyle, not losing weight quickly. I am down 40 lbs in 12 weeks and while sometimes I wish it was more, I know that I am doing it the right way...not by starving myself and using hormones.
  13. So far the only difference is I am regular as can be. Every 4th Friday like clockwork. I am hoping for the excess hair to cease and my hubby & I gave up our baby hope a year ago. We'll see what happens!
  14. VERY inspiring!!!! Congrats and GREAT JOB!!!
  15. I had my first fill on Wed and got 2 cc in a 10 cc band. I have restriction and it is great! Had to stay on liquids for 24 hrs and then good to go after that.
  16. Well, I did the seminar in March and had surgery in May, but my surgeon doesn't meet with you until you have all of your pre-op stuff done, so from pre-op appts/clearance to surgery it was 3 weeks.
  17. I have my blog and started it for two reasons, #1 to get people to understand why and what I was doing and give them my perspective if they were considering it themselves, and #2 to get all of my feeling out there so they were not "internalized," which is what causes me to eat. I'll check out all of yours! http://memyband.blogspot.com/
  18. I was going to say this same thing. LOL. I am losing a ton of inches and have lost 35 lbs since my surgery. As my doc put it, the fat and muscle weigh the same, but the muscle and the fat LOOK very different. Google "one pound of fat vs one pound of muscle." You can see that muscle is much more dense than fat so as you lose the fat and workout, you will be smaller...so keep losing those inches!!
  19. I can barely walk because I did my first workout yesterday morning. OUCH!!! I bought the Reebok kettle weight (comes with DVD) because it was half the price as Bob's bell and it is also at Target.
  20. Best advice I can give you is get up and walk around. I know it is the LAST thing you want to do right now but it helps to get rid of that gas pain. It never went above my abdomen and I am grateful for that. Use Gas-X strips and keep ahead on your pain meds. I took my liquid lortab every 3-4 hrs and it really helped. Also, I slept in the recliner for the first 5 days/nights after surgery. It will get better, I promise, but I remember being in your shoes. I hope your recovery goes speedy!
  21. My surgeon said at least 80-100 for women and 100-120 for men.
  22. I second that!! Outstanding work!! Very inspiring!
  23. I agree with upping your Protein. I try to get around 100 grams a day (that is what my doctor recommends). Also, my weight loss has not been huge but my inches lost has been. You are still swollen from surgery (I was for about 4 weeks) but as soon as that went down it was amazing how much I had lost in my mid-section. I just had to go buy new undies because my old ones were falling off me. Have you been exercising at all? That will kickstart loss as well. Don't get discouraged, just keep on truckin and you will get the results you want!
  24. I have the card as well but like you said, most children's menu choices aren't all that great.
