Gallstones?surgery Again?
I had my GB out one week ago 6 weeks after my sleeve. The pain is not nearly as bad as the sleeve and I only needed my pain meds for 2 days. I've read stats that up to 4 years out, up to 80% of sleeve patients need their GB out, so yes its very common. do you plan to have yours out?

Not Enough Protein!
Hello! My words of encouragement are: It really does get better Hang in there and folllow your surgeons rules as close as possible. Don't too down on yourself if you can't get all of your fluids or protein in. I'm about 2 months out and some days I miss my goals. This is a lifetime change and you won't get the routine down your first few weeks out. I hope that helped and I hope it gets better. We are here when you need us.

Gallstones
I'm gonna chime in due to a recent gallbladder situation. I had constant nausea and my pain was toward the middle as well, but it radiated. When I had my first gallbladder attack, I just felt off. Nothing specific. I thought I had ate something I shouldn't have. I had stones before my surgery and it got worse after. I went to the ER and eventually I ended up having a second surgery 6 weeks after the sleeve. Please get checked and an ultrasound to make sure the stones haven't moved or increased in number. GL to you!

It may be gas and I've tried gas x strips to no avail. I thought about increasing my nexium to twice a day to see if it helps. Thanks for the input! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Hunger After Gallbladder Removal
Hey everyone, I'm noticing I'm starting to feel REALLY hungry since I had my GB removed Friday. It's a painful hunger too. Before I could go hours not realizing that I haven't eaten. Now it seems that I feel this empty stomach feeling every 2-3 hours. Is this normal?? Please tell me this goes away.

Help Not Loosing Anymore
I love the comparison to lifetime stall. I will have to add that to my inner dialouge when I'm upset over my stalls. Don't let the naysayers belittle your progress. They couldn't lose 20 pounds in a month but you did! Patkaye- I can't say anything other than what has already been said. Patience is key. Don't be discouraged and continue doing what you know you should. Your body will catch up to your brain

Confusion On Calorie Nets
I am so lost at how people are getting in so much protein! I'm struggling to get mine in and average 40-60 a day! I'm 6 weeks out and just reached the point where I can get in 60 oz of water. I applaud you ladies! Please share your secrets.

Week 6 Update- In Love With Life!
My how time flies. I think this is week 6 for me! I'm dealing with a few hiccups but overall I'm doing very well. I've been stalled for about 2 weeks now. It has a lot to do with my gallbladder issues and I'm going to see the surgeon about it tomorrow. Now here is the kicker. I gained like half an inch on my arms and chest while stuck at 237 but I had to remind myself that it will pass. PLUS I've been working out like crazy and lifting weights so OF COURSE I'm gaining inches of muscle! I just wonder will it sabatoge this golden window everytone speaks of the first 6 months being for weight loss. Back to the gallbladder. I don't want to go into the appointment like "I told you so" but I did ask him to take it out with my sleeve and he told me it was not neccesary because most patients don't have issues. I should have insisted on it, but you live and you learn. It really does lower my respect of his opinion. I swear sometimes I feel like I know more about this surgery than him or my NUT..... On a good note, my confidence is through the roof. It's such an eye opening to feel good about myself and realize just how much I turned down chances to hang out or try different things when I was 40 pounds heavier. I've been running, playing basketball, going to bootcamp classes on campus, and tonight I'm going to a Zumba class. I can get through an hour or dancing without realizing how much time has gone by. I'm making plans this summer to go rafting and hiking with friends. My energy level is through the roof! I'm no longer living, I'm finally Alive! Since the scale isn't moving, I'm motivating myself by trying to claim as many NSVs as possible. 1. All of my labs are...normal? What is that word? Normal. I don't remember the last time I had normal labs.<--- Wow! 2. I painted my toes. I was even able to rest my knee as I painted! <----That is EPIC! 3. I can cross my legs. I do it without even realizing it now. <---I've NEVER been able to cross my legs comfortably. 4. i went to a international festival and bought a bracelet. It fits!. <----- I couldn't buy normal jewelry for the past 5 years without some kind of extender. Thank you for reading. I hope each one of you has a wonderful rest of the week!

Is This Normal?
Maybe a lot of your swelling has gone down. I find that I can drink 20 oz quicker this week than I could the week before. I'm 6 weeks out.
