Heartburn From Hell

Omg. Everything gives me heartburn! I was only given prevacid for a month and even then I would suffer heartburn a bit. Now that I'm off I constantly have hb. So annoying. Any suggestions? I took a pill just now that a friend gave to me (Prevacid) I ate a bite of banana. Drank water. Idk what else to do

The only thing that works for me is brand ranitidine - I was on 300 my a day before surgery - had really bad heart burn constantly. And I have had two days since where I had to take it since surgery but only 150 mg. Noticed if I eat anything higher in sugar content I get heartburn :(

Hope u find something that works for you!

And u can buy it over the counter in the antacid section. I buy it at wal mart.

*before surgery even Water gave me heartburn lol

I take Nexium once a day. I haven't had any heartburn.

I am 6 mo out and hb got baaaad post op. I take carafate (rx liquid) to help stop acid production and also take omeprozole (rx pill) twice a day, ppi. I could not enjoy life without the carafate especially.
