  1. I am on phase 2 of diet and yes I am having a hard time eating. It just does not look good. I am having sensitivity to smells as well.
  2. I get the hiccups and my Dr. said to only eat 1/2 a cup at a time when I got to semi-solid (phase 2, soup/cottage cheese). They said I would not start our by eating 1/2 cup but that should be my goal at this stage.

I had 3 days I did not lose weight when I changed to phase 2 of diet. I did not worry about it to much. I am now down 18 pound and am feeling great. My husband had his surgery today and is doing well. He says his stomach is growling and he is hungry. I have been getting my 60 grams of protien barely and my 64 oz of fluid. It is hard because I am not hungry and the soup is getting old. I got tired of tasting the protein powder in every thing I eat and drink so I am now having a flavored greek yogurt for breakfast with 11 g of protien an Isopure drink with 40 g of protien maybe a shake or an egg. I eat soup for lunch just for the taste. The longer I stay on the phase 2 the less I want to eat ever. I seem to be sensitive to smells as well. I am excited about the weight loss and pray my husband recovers as quickly as I have.

First of all you look amazing!!! I hope I do as well as you. We started at the same size and my goal weight is 125. I feel the same way. I am a very confident person my weight did bother me but I didn't let it get me down. My husband(meanegene) and I are doing this together he goes in on Oct. 8th for his surgery. It is kind of weird when you see your reflection in a window. I think "was that me" I didn't know I was that fat. I never saw it. You are a great inspiration. I will need to have my breasts done as well. I started with an H cupp and now at DDD. Out of the sixteen pounds I have lost I am sure 10 of them came from the boobs.

I had surgery on Wed and Dr. said I could go back to work at my check up on Monday. Then I told him I was a RN and he said go back whenever you want at your own pace. I have to take a fit test and need to be able to lift 50 lbs. I also have enough time save up so I will be taking 4 weeks off. My husband has an office job and he is planning on taking a week off. It depends on how you feel and what your job is. Best of luck to you.
  6. I know its hard not to get on everyday!!! I told myself not to be a scale whore but I still am. Can't stop myself. I have been putting protein in my meals and then unable to eat them all so I think I was not getting enough protein so I have to decided to have a shake for breakfast and then have lunch and dinner with no protein added in it so it will taste better but I will also drink an Isopure so I get 60 gm of protein in. It's so hard with such limited food options!!!!
  7. I have not lost any weight for the last 3 days (since I switched to phase 2 diet) how are you doing?
  8. airplanes will dry you out. Try putting some moisture in you nose like a little vasaline.
  9. You may want to try and make reall mashed potatos and moisten them with chicken broth.
  10. Make sure that you are getting your fluids in and not dehydrated. If you are dehydrated that may be a cause. Thats the only thing I can think of.
  11. Good for you. I know how you feel about the best ever taste!!! The cream of wheat I put a couple of drops of immitation maple and butter flavor and some splenda. It was awesome. I can't believe I am excited about cream of wheat.
  12. I am afraind to add tomato to diet for fear of acid. They said I could have cream of tomato Soup so if I cant stand it I may try pizza sauce in the cottage cheese. Thanks for the idea.
  13. I hear you guys 7 days out and food cravings are bad. I want buffalo wings bad!!!! And some Pizza not just pizza but the cheese and sauce!!!!! I guess I will stick with my mashed potatoes tonight!!!
  14. I reached day 7 of post op today and Dr. said I could up grade my foods to semi-solid. Meaning I could have cream of wheat/rice cereal/ cream soups, chicken noodle soup, scrammbled eggs and mashed potato and cottage cheese(blended). Now anything with chuncks has to be put in the blender. Oh yes and sugar free pudding!!!! I put protein powder in everything to make sure I get protein. I have this diet until October 15th. 1/2 cup servings 3 times a day. I am able to get the 1/2 cup but it takes about an hour.
  15. I was told to take Prilosec ( OTC) every day for the next 6 months by my doctor. I started on them my first day home.

Started on semi-solid food today. Down 14 pounds. Scared that if I start eating I will not lose weight. I had a half of cup of cream of wheat made with water to save calories but I put protein powder in it to make sure I got my protein in. For lunch I mixed up 1/2 cup cottage cheese 1/2 cup mashed potato and some dry ranch sauce with a scoop of protein powder. Mixed it in blender it was kinda like eating runny mashed potato but it had some taste!!! I ate 1/2 cup and will save the other for dinner. Going very well!!!
  17. Surgery was on Wednessday and they took the JP drain out on Friday. I did not have any staples just derma bond. 2 incisions one on left and belly button.
  18. Just let the floors go for a while!!!!! I am going to take it slow as well.
  19. Went for check up today and Dr. said I was clear to do whatever I felt like no restrictions even go back to work. I am an RN so I have a 50lb weight requirement and he said go back whenever I thought I was ready he would sign the paper. Nice. I think I will stay off for the next 4 weeks just to use up some of my sick bank time!!!!! I started out at 265lbs on surgery day (I'm only 5'4") down to 254 today!!!
  20. Sleeve is way easier. I have had two C- sections and I was up walking around 4 hours after the sleeve!!! This is my 5th day post op and Dr. cleared me today for everything as far as physical activity he said I could go back to work. I am an RN and he said dont go to fast but whenever you want to go back he said he would sign the paper work. Since I have the sick bank time I am goint to stay off for another 4 weeks. Might as well use the sick time!!!!
  21. 4 days post op and my face and skin are so oily. Does anyone else have this problem?
  22. Thats odd. I got my sleeve here in the mid west. St. Louis. No Mexico trip for me. Do they think thats the only place to get it done just because its newer?
  23. Great Job!!!! I can't wait to be under 200. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Today was a good day. Was difficult to sleep last night. Did half/half. Half in bed and half on couch. Much less pain with drinking. 1 jello and one isopure and one high protein eas shake, one bottle of water and 1/2 cup of warm broth for the love of salt!!!! Protein 65 g fluid 60 oz calories 400 The isopure was lemon tea it was pretty good. I could not drink it cold in the morning room temp was not bad. Shake at night was cold and didn't feel to bad. My throat is still sore. That is the worst complaint for today. Down 7 pounds. Nice. Still feel like stomache is swollen. Incissions look good, worst one is the JP drain.
  25. I was told I could never again eat coconut, because it sticks together. Has anyone else heard that?
