  5. Okay, I live in Texas and I'm telling you, I'm 5 months out and I'm still not tried a burger from anywhere. Just afraid to try it. But the recipe on here sounds good. Don't sound like you did too bad.
  6. My favorite smothie is one I make with 1 small banana, 1 1/2 scoops whey protein, 1 packet of Splends, 1 capful of Torani Sugar Free Raspberry syrup about 6 ice cubes in a blender and drink that for breakfast. I love it.

  10. Hey Thinoneday, where do you find the turkey jerky? What brand is it? I've been eating some of the beef steaks, because they are high in protein. But I try not to eat them too ften. They do have high sodium.

  13. I've rented the Eating Well after WLS cookbook from my library. I have to admitt there aren't a lot in there that I would use. I need something that I can actually use daily. I'm 5 months out since my surgery and need more ideas of things to eat. If you have any suggestions, let me know. Thanks.
  14. I had my sleeve on Sept 24, 2010 and as of today Feb 10th, I'm doing pretty good. So far I've lost 74 or 75 pounds. It was the best thing I ever did. I'm feeling lots better.

  16. 12 oz Longhorn cheese, grated 3 eggs, beaten 1 can green chilies; chopped Mix all together well. Lightly butter a square dish. Bake @ 350 degrees for apx 20 minutes or until melted and slightly brown around the edges. This is a big hit at parties.

My oatmeal Crisps recipe - Debbie Leidig aka Sweetgalntx 1 cup Crisco, melted 1 cup Splenda brown sugar 1 cup Splenda 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp soda 1 cup pecans, chopped 1 cup flour 1 tsp salt 4 cups quick cooking oatmeal Mix first 5 ingredients, sift flour ,salt, soda together and mix well. Fold in oatmeal and pecans. Shape into 1" balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. ( I flatten each ball a bit. With a glass.) Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes a lot.

  19. Thanks TStew for the info. I have a lot more weight than most people on here have to lose and I really have a hard time getting myself motivated to get up and do anything. But anything that is easy on my knees and back sounds like something I can at least give a try. I'll check with my city library before I check with the hospital library. They have quite a few Cd's and DVD's. Thanks again.

  23. I was at Walmart the other day and saw a Hamilton Beach Single Serv Blender for $15.88 and a GE Import -Sensio Inc 17 pc Single Serve Blender. Wouldn't one of those be okay? I don't really have $50 to get the MB.
