  4. I went back to work at 13 days post op. I have a desk job with no lifting. I could have gone back sooner but I went out of town for 5 days to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday.
  5. My process was going very slow until the end and then everything was speeding by. I had seven days notice for the actual surgery. Congrats on your approval ... I am very excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. GREAT news ... keep up the good work!
  7. GREAT NSV's! I have not changed sizes yet but hope it will be very soon! Keep up the good work!

  10. I am glad things are getting better for you and your surgeon sounds wonderful. Thanks for the update. I was wondering how you are doing. Hugs
  11. Wow! You are doing GREAT! Thanks for sharing!
  12. My surgeon requires an EGD. He performs it himself so he can see the lay of the prior to surgery.
  13. You can only get unjury online. I was really hungry on my preop liquids -especially the first day. I even had a hunger headache. I just kept thinking of another member of this site that gained on the preop diet and the surgeon postponed her surgery. Stick with it -You can do this!
  14. So glad to hear you are home and fairing pretty well! I asked my doctor for no drain tube because I am allergic to latex and he agreed -No Tube for me! I was so glad not to have to deal with that thing. Most people have similar experiences as you are having. Concentrate on getting fluids in, walking, and resting! Hugs
  15. I did the same thing with a beef roast and it was fabulous!
  16. I have not been banded so I don't know how that feels post op. But I can tell you that some people feel no pain after VSG. I was one of them. I had some nausea and a little soreness (like I did a lot of sit-ups), but no pain. I could walk with no issues except for carrying around the IV pole and sporting the fashionable hospital gown (with a second one over my back like a robe). It might not be as bad as you are envisioning. You can do this!
  17. Welcome to VST! This has been a very informative site for me. I think the wonderful members here (although not doctors) can help more than the doctors in a lot of areas. We are at varying stages of living with VSG. I am only 15 days post op but have been reading posts on here for awhile. If you have questions ask them. We are all here for help or to offer help to others.
  18. I am very happy for you. It was hard with the cancellation earlier but it sure looks like you are doing great!
  19. For my insurance it was 6 months of Dr supervised weight loss visits. Taking your information and applying it would be: April, May, June, July, August, and September. For a total of 6 calendar months. I hope this helps.
  20. Sending best wishes for a easy recovery.
  21. I went back to work on day 13 but could have gone back sooner except I went out of town for my dad's birthday celebration.
  22. Sending prayers. I sure hope you feel better soon!
  23. GREAT news ... keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!
