  1. Yeah, we gotta sip sip sip. Hope you feel better soon. Do you have any gasX strips on hand? Those might help some.
  2. Sleeved yesterday- still in the hospital- Will update soon as I'm able.
  3. Welcome- Glad to hear you are doing well- Mine is in the morning.. I will look for updates soon as I can get on the laptop.
  4. Wonderful News! Congrats!
  5. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I guess I will see you all on the "other" side.
  6. Well, everyone's pre op requirements are different. My surgeon has me doing a low fat, low carb, low Protein liquid diet for an entire week before surgery of which today is day 4 for me. Below is a list of items I can eat Broth- Low fat and Low sodium Decaf coffee or Tea with no sugar may sweeten with sweet & Low, equal, splenda, stevia etc. sugar free Jello Sugar Free Popsicle Water Crystal Light Propel And a shake or yogurt or Soup with additional protein added to meet daily requirment of 20 grams- If using yogurt then I must use the low fat, no sugar added such as carbmaster from Kroger. The yogurts and shakes are not free foods in which I can just eat until I'm full either- tho I have yet to see an exact limit- I'm guessing it's 1 or 2 per day until the protein requirement has been met for the day. I was scared to death that I wouldn't like the protein- especially Isopure made me ill when I tried it months ago- but I was pleasantly surprised that my unjury vanilla powder tastes great in yogurt. I'm sure there are many different pre op diet plans - so it would be interesting to see what other people are doing- and it's really best to do what your specific surgeons directs - because each is different.
  7. Awesome! That is sooo Great! Way to go!
  8. Oh my gosh- I'm on the edge of my seat- Who went to recovery house..and where did the other go?
  9. Course on Day 4 broth and tea have grown real old- I'm hungry, tired, lethargic, sometimes confused and lightheaded- especially If I'm outside getting overheated carbmaster yogurt has been a good addition and my unjury protein vanilla flavor tastes exceptionally good mixed into that- and today I splurged and got egg drop soup and put it through a strainer- it did wonders for my hunger and the moral booster was much needed -because it's getting really tough.
  10. good idea's THANKS!
  11. I know KAMI- I have 4 of those rubber maid ones- I'd love to buy one of the covers you've made- nothing worse that a sweaty Water bottle- I"m always wrapping paper towels around mine and fastening a rubber band around it. haha
  12. I hear ya- my pre op diet sounds exactly like yours except I found out I can have SF Popsicles and SF Jello and some kind of Yogurt 4 oz with the Protein powder or silk or 1/% milk or carnation instant breakfast- but pretty much - I just drank broth and tea all day and tried to keep busy.
  13. Yay! Congrats- I'm so happy for you- hope everything is going well in the hospital- how long will you be in there for?
  14. I'm doing Pre Op - Wonder what a good yogurt is to use- It says on my list that I can add the Protein powder to silk, 1% mik, SF Yogurt or SF pudding- I was looking around at the grocer and didn't notice a SF yogurt but saw many fat free and non fat ones- Any suggestions?
  15. awww yeah, another thought came to my mind about dusting off the sandals regarding those ones who can be so closed minded and hurtful.
  16. Awesome! Hope everything went well and can't wait to hear an update from you.
  17. We have the same surgery date! Sept 8th
  18. I start my pre op diet at the end of this week and it's just liquids- you know SF protein drinks, water, Broth, crystal light, SF jello, SF Popsicle, and that sort of thing- oh and someone from the hospital called me today to take my personal info down again and she said not to forget to do a little more liquids the day before surgery so I'll be real hydrated and all- uhhhhh... that kind of made me laugh..
  19. Congrats- hope you feel better- Welcome!
  20. Yes- thats the list I was looking for- I know I read it some time before- and forgot where it was located. Thanks!
