  6. Thanks for sharing your story Barbara. I love it when vets tell their stories, so they can help and inspire the newbies. I myself am 5 1/2 months out and I definitely can tell the difference in how much more I can eat from when I first had surgery. I still have about 50 or so pounds to lose before my one year surgerversary in Aug. Wish me luck!!! Again Congratz and keep on keeping on!!! THE SLEEVE TOTALLY ROCKS :D :D :D .

  12. Baby boy you have made a very important decision, but one I think you will love. Please update when you are able to. I would be very interested in knowing about the facility as I have a son who needs to lose about 70 pounds. I will be thinking and praying for you. Deb
  13. Hi Kim, Good morning to you :-) Sounds like you are off to a great start. I was 321 when I started my journey. I went on my two week pre-op diet on Aug. the 3rd and lost 16 pounds. When I had my surgery on August 17th I was 305 pounds. As of yesterday morning I am 198.2 pounds. I feel super and can drink and eat anything in moderation. I definitely try to watch my carbs, but you are so early out you don't need to worry about that now. Just concentrate on your fluids and Protein. Good luck!!! Deb
  14. KUDOS!!!! Outstanding work. Deb

  19. It definitely depends on what kind of job you have. I was off for 2 weeks and felt good about going back to work, but I work a desk job. There are of course some no lifting over 5-10 pounds restrictions to following for several weeks after. I was back to full capacity in 8 weeks as I am required to be able to lift 75 pounds if needed. Deb
  20. I think it is doable if you are following a high Protein, low carb program. Which is what my surgeon and nut recommend. What kind of nutrtional guidelines did your nut or surgeon give you. My surgeon said the first six months is known as the honeymoon phase. Meaning you will lose most of your weight in the first six months. After that it slow down remarkablely. Good luck!! Deb
  21. Congratz on getting a surgery date. I think you will LOVE your sleeve!!! Deb
  22. CONGRATZ!!!! Best wishes. Deb
  23. WOW!!!! Excellent results.Keep up the great work. Deb
  24. Hey Globe, my nut and surgeon allow milk starting at 6 months out. I am only a week or so shy of 5 months, so I haven't had milk yet. But come 6 months out I will definitely have me a big glass of COLD skim milk. Hopefully it will still taste good!! Deb
