Pounds to Drop a Clothing Size
Same here. When I started out at 321 pounds it took a good 40-50 pounds before I HAD to but some clothes. Also, it took 50 pounds before peeps even notice I was losing weight. Now that I weight 180 pounds it takes about 10 pounds before I drop a size. Deb

Sick / Cold 4 Days Before Gastric Sleeve Surgery
Dude, sorry about the cold. At one point I thought my surgeon would not cancel surgery unless you had a fever, but a friend who was scheduled with same surgeon as I had. Had her surgery canceled becuz of the congestion of the cold. So only your surgeon knows for sure. I think the best thing to do would be to call your surgeon's office and tell them what's going on. Maybe they can give you some advice or maybe even a scrip. Good luck, I am rooting for you. Keep us posted. Deb

boob job question...
Shontel congratz to you. I have a question. Did you go to Mexico to get your implants? I ask because my girls need help, but I need to lose about 40 more pounds and it will still be another year or so before I can have the surgery. I am looking at my options NOW.. so I know about how much money I need to save. Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your reply. Deb

10 days post op and not sure if its going right
The main reason it is difficult to get a drink or a shake down the first weeks after surgery is becuz your stomach is very very swollen from the surgery, so it mite take several weeks for the swelling to go down. That's why your surgeon/nut want you to sip your fluids becuz IT WILL HURT IF YOU DON"T.

Surgery date changed to......Tomorrow

Successful, but Sabotaging Myself

But in the last few weeks, heck who am I kidding.... months the weight has come off so slow becuz I am eating the wrong stuff. I KNOW THAT.... SO WHY AM I DOING IT!!!!! I kinda feel like a failure. Hugs to everyone. Deb

Not only does it get better, but when you are as far out as I am (Almost 8 months) you will wish for the early dayz. It is WAAAAYYY to easy to eat now. Thank goodness for my early restriction or I would not have lost as fast or as much as I did. Good luck. Deb

how much weight did you lose on the pre-op diet?
This was also my pre-op diet. Plus I could have one container of low-carb yogurt a day. I lost a little more than a pound a day for two weeks.

Who did you tell??
I TOLD ANY AND EVERYBODY WHO WANTED TO KNOW!!!! I never heard any negative feedback, only encouragement. I told peeps, becuz I always felt soooo pissed off when I would ask people who were big how they were you losing their weight and they would come back with diet and exercise. I always thought BULL CRAP. Why can't you just tell the truth. I am not asking to be noisy, but maybe it could help me. Right then and there, I thought if I ever have WLS. I would be completely honest. So if they ask..... I tell. Plus I don't keep secrets very well. LOL. Deb

Do sleevers vomit?
I am a little over 7 months and I would say I have vomited twice. All of the times were in the beginning when I was introducing foods back into the lineup. I sometimes feel maybe a little sick to my stomach if I EAT TO MUCH OR TO FAST NOW, but have not thrown up since the first month. I definitely know my full signal and try not to cross it. Good luck. WooHoo! Past half way and nearly 100 lbs GONE!
Dude, I know just what you mean I did save a pair of my biggest jeans to show peeps. I thought about taking a pic with those on and showing how loose they are. I started at a size 26 and now down to a size 12. If you don't know what that means ask wifey. But again YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

Regrets
I think most have buyer's remorse in th beginning, at least I know I did. And I am one of the peeps who had basically zero issues. No gas pains, no pain really at all, but I still felt my whole world had changed and there was never ever going back and I got angry with myself for about a week. Then I stop the pity party and have never looked back. I love going on shopping sprees.(WOW I NEED TO STOP THAT TOO.) LOL. I love I can cross my legs. I love I can walk for miles at one time. I love I can get on a bus, train, or plane and know I will have enough room for someone to sit on either side of me and not feel squashed. And I saved the best for last. I absolututely LOVE THE WAY MEN LOOK AT ME!!!!! The positive outweights the negitive by a long shot. I would not trade my sleeve for anything. Deb
