ZUMBA- where have you been all my life????
I friend of mine has tried belly dancing and pole dancing to stay in shape. She said she had a blast with both. My daughter does Zumba and has been for the past two years. I told her once I lose about 50 pounds I will join her. She tells me you will be tired and sweaty and feel good about it. I'm looking forward to it!!!!!!. Deb

What are you looking forward to?
I like this thread as well and I've been thinking about it for a few days. Here's what I've come up with. 1. First and foremost I would like not having to take high blood pressure meds. IT SUCKS. TWICE A DAY. 2.Getting on the rides at the amusement park without worrying if the ride is to small. I LOVE THE AMUSEMENT PARK. 3.Someone mentioned seeing hip bones. Me too. MAN.... I'VE HAVEN'T SEEN THOSE IN 25 YEARS. LOL. 4. Crossing my legs and sitting indian style on the floor. 5. Well..... since I'm dreaming and dreams do come true. How about RUNNING a marathan. THAT WOULD BE TOTALLY KEWL. Deb

Decisions and Waiting
To prepare myself for the wait I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos about the sleeve and being on this site helps me stay FOCUS. Some of the videos are so emotional and awe inspiring and the music.....makes me want to cry. I think if they can do it so can I. Right now I've going to WW meetings because my mindset is clear about losing weight and that also helps me stay focus. Good luck on your approval. Deb

30 pounds in 2.5 months?
I would say YES. Think about it...... that's less than 15 pounds a month. It can be done. SO.... Go for it. Good luck with the weight lost and college.

tightness in my calves
My first thought after reading your post was you are low on Potassium. Can u eat mushy bananas? If your calves do not feel warm to the touch, more than likely it's not blood clots.

being sleeved TODAY!
Oh how EXCITING!!!! I am happy for you. Hopefully I'll be there in the next month or so.

Time Off?
I am pre-op, but plan on taking at least two weeks off. When I return to work I will also have limited lifting instuctions. I work for the post office doing data entry, but am also required to lift 70 pounds if needed. I believe I will NOT be lifting 20 pounds for a while much less 70 pounds. Which will all be spelled out in my FMLA paperwork.

Tomorrow i get sleeved!!
HOW EXCITING!!!!! I am happy for you.

New
Hello, I'm new to this site. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS.......... I'm glad I found it. There is a wealth of information here. I see my surgeon on June 14 and I didn't have a clue as to what questions to ask him. Now, I know what questions to ask and what answers I am looking for. Everyone keep up the GOOD WORK.:thumbup1: I will pass on this site to anyone who's looking for info on WLS. Thanks.

Does insurance cover psych eval?
I have BCBS Federal and of my visits to the dietician and my psych eval were covered. All I had to pay was the $20 co pay for the in-network provider. The dietician and psych eval for me was a one time thing. The psych eval was alot of paper work, which took me about a hour and a half to complete. The good thing was they sent me the paperwork before my appoinment. I hope this answers your question. Deb

Questions to ask at Pre-op consult??
Hello. My name is Deb. I just happen upon this blog in regards to questions to ask the surgeon. My consultation is June the 14 with Dr. Stanley Hoehn in Shawnee Mission KS. I will add some of these questions to my list that I already have. Thanks Tiffykins.
