2nd day post op..not as bad as i thought it would be!!!

Well, the surgery is over and done with, gotta be honest not as bad as I thought it was going to be. They prepped me for surgery and gave me some sleepy juice and the next thing i knew i was waking up back in my room...had some gas, but that wasn't too bad either. I was given pain meds as much as a needed it...i got my IV out today and that felt good, have been up walking a lot today, that really helps....i am still a lil head hungary but i'm sure once i get back onto some liquids and soft foods it won't be as bad!!! Anyway, good luck to anyone who is doing this soon...you can do it, hang in there.....now move on over, it's on to the losers bench for me!!!...yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:thumbup:

Thanx guys, and wow momma of 4, you are doing great, did you think you would lose so much weight so fast??? You must be so excited!!! Good luck Dansha, everything will go great!!!!

So good to hear you are doing so well! I am scheduled on Tuesday, and I must admit, I am getting a little nervous. Keep up those positive thoughts!

congrats 4Me! sounds like you are off to a great start!

I will agree - I was starving for the first couple of days after surgery! Once I was able to have something tho, it helped alot.

hope your recovery continues to go smoothly!

Mommaof4 ~ you are doing very good! congrats on the loss!

texaschick ~ it does get very scary as it gets closer! typical no matter what kind of surgery it is : ) ask for a little valium in your iv, it really does wonders to relax you before surgery!

That is great, congrats.
