WOW excellent work. Thanks for sharing your story. I totally agree with taking before and during pics and measurements. I keep a pair of my size 26 jeans ( I now fit a size 12/10) for comparison purposes . I periodically put my old jeans on and I am amazed I was that BIG. Can we say denial? Much success as your journey continues. Deb

I do believe MOST surgeons say wait until you are able to or feel like it. As far as an increase libdo goes......... Mine jump off the charts. LOL. You will love your sleeve. Deb

Hello peeps. My name is Deb and I live in Shawnee Mission and work in Kansas City. My sleeve was perforrmed by my surgeon Dr. Stanley Hoehn of The Bariatric Center of Kansas City in Aug. 2010. So far I have lost about 140 pounds and still want to lose an addtional 40 to 50 pounds by my 1 year surgiversary. I think I would have been at goal by now, but sometimes sh*t happens. I was a size 26/28 in jeans and a 3/4X in tops. I currently wear a size 12/10 in jeans and large/med in tops sometimes even the label will say small. My goal is to be size 4/6 in jeans and a small in tops. SAY WHAT.... SAY WHAT ???? LOL. I hope to get to know more about everyone in our group. HAPPY JOURNEY ro each of us. Deb

I am 9 months out and I never have taken a PPI. I have zero issues concerning acid reflux. I did ask my surgeon about a PPI because of this forum, but he said if I don't need it he didn't see a reason to use it. So far so good. Deb

Sounds to me and most peeps go thru this. You are in ketosis, which is a good thing. Your body is burning your stored fat supply. Most high Protein low carb programs will put your body in ketosis. Just make sure to you drink plenty of fluids. You are on your way!!!! Deb

I LOVE pork rinds. I've been eating them since I was a child. I take them to the movies to eat instead of munching on popcorn. If you have never tried them before I would suggest buying a bag from Walmart. They cost about a dollar. Deb

I think it is perfectly normal, becuz I do it too. Sometimes went I go shopping and I looking at the misses or junior section I keep expecting someone to say WHY are you shopping HERE. These clothes are to small for you. I remember recently I went to Sears and immediately went to the plus size dept and as I am browsing a sales clerk comes running over to me to tell me about the great sales they are having. I thanked her and turn around to continue shopping. She then says to me am I shopping for myself or for someone else, I replied for myself. Then she says Oh you are in the wrong dept. this is the plus size dept. I was floored becuz even tho I am now wearing a size 12 jeans sometimes I don't see it too. Also have you notice peeps who you knew before, that are overweight seem........ HUGE? Deb
