Weight Watchers after the sleeve
I love WW too. It's the only program that I thought I might actually win my battle with food. I will probably do it for maintenance. Deb

ulcers?
Interesting. Iam about 7 weeks post op and I have never vomited until yestersday. It seems like everytime I eat or drink I feel like I'm going to throw up. I been feeling off for several days. I go in for my lab work this week and see the surgeon in two weeks. I too do not smoke or drink. Maybe I can get some answers. I hope you feel better soon. Best wishes to you !!! Deb

When ere u able to eat a salad? Is anyone able to have a bite of a sub or pita?
My guidelines are NO corn, peas, lima Beans, lettuce, cabbage, or raw veggies for 6 MONTHS. WOW that's a long time for me to wait for a salad, but I will do what my doc's guidelines say to do. It's kinda frustrating when you see others eating foods you can't eat for several months. Deb

What is WRONG WITH ME???
Baby girl I think you are perfectly NORMAL. I too feel the same way about food as you do. I was so happy to be cleared to start eating some veggies and fruits. When I cooked some fresh green Beans the other day all I could have was three strings and the whole time I was thinking is these are not as good as I remember. :sad0: I've tried some apples, pears and plums. I even tried chewing some gum and after about 5 mins I can't hardly wait to throw it out. NOTHING TASTE GOOD!!!!! I WOULD RATHER NOT EAT!!!!! :( I too am wondering when food taste GOOD again. I am HAPPY I am losing weight, but sad about what small amounts of food I am eating does not taste good. Deb

Has anyone here NEVER had a stall?
I am 6 weeks post op and I have not had a stall so far. {Knock on wood}. I am a heavy weight so that might be why I haven't had a stall yet. My surgeon's diet is centered around Protein and low carbs. Deb

30-40 grams of carbs??
Hey girl. I am one of the peeps who carbs count is pretty low per my doc's instructions. My typical day's menu is Breakfast 1 large egg. Sometimes I can finish it sometimes not. Snack 1 Protein shake. lunch is 1 string cheese. Snack I Protein Shake. dinner is 1/4 to 1/2 of a cup of refried Beans. Sometimes I will eat fresh green beans with a little bit of lite butter. Plus I drink plenty of Water. As you can see my calories are low and carbs are really low. So far I have not had a stall. Grant you the last two weeks have been slower, but I have still lost weight. When I started my pre-op diet on Aug. 3 I was 304, now I am 245. food to me now has no taste and is something I would rather not deal with it. I am hoping this gets better as I remember food being pretty tasty. :thumbup1: Deb

Magnesium citrate may be TMI
If you look at the directions on the bottle the max. amount you can take in a 24 hour period is 10 oz which would be one bottle. Not sure why your surgeon would recommend you take two bottles. I would think that would be overkill.:thumbup1: When I drank my magnesium citrate the afternoon before surgery, I had been on my pre op diet for 2 weeks and I went to the bathroom a total of two times in a six hour timeframe. I just didn't have very much to give. LOL. Was there a time your surgeon wanted you take the magnesium? My doc wanted me to take it between 1 and 4 in the afternoon of the day before surgery. Good luck. Deb
