  1. Thank you everyone! I hope everyone reaches their goals and is always as happy as I am with their decision to permanently remove the majority of their stomach. I really envy all those that are getting sleeved so much earlier in their lives but even at 57 years old, I am thrilled not to spend one more year obese. Yay Sleeve!
  2. Chancie I am seeing a guy and we are getting really close. He tells me all the time how afraid he is, and I tell him I am too. Maybe you can get him to open up and talk about what is causing him to only go so far without then putting the breaks on. Mike and I keep telling each other how really important communication is and we really try to communicate until we get the other one to understand what we are thinking or feeling.
  3. I should probably add that the times I felt over full were way past the post op diet phase. I followed the post op diet to the letter, and stayed on mushies and liquids longer than I was supposed to just because it was more comfortable.

Don't worry. You will find love again and you will be thrilled with your new body and your new life. It just takes awhile to get used to this new life.
  5. Regular milk gives me gas pains and diarrhea. I can one scoop of ice cream but anymore than that, it's the same thing. It's not the same for me now that I have been sleeved for a year. It used to be sugar and fat would cause me problems, now I would have to pretty much pig out on a huge portion to feel that same heart racing, nausea along with the diarrhea. It's weird. It rarely happens anymore.
  6. You can try putting the crushed up pills into some sort of liquid like crystal lite. I started taking all my small pills at 2 weeks post op. I'm glad you're home an on the road to recovery and weightloss! I am glad it was easy for you an everything went well!
  7. I definitely wish I had done this years ago instead of wasting so many years being fat. As long as you understand that you will always be eating tiny little meals for the rest of your life, I am sure you are not too young.
  8. Tiffy you look gorgeous! I hope you have a wonderful time showing off your cute little body! Strut your stuff cause you're a hottie!
  9. Looking for someone to talk to! I have the chat window open early tonight cause I'll be going somewhere later. come on in and talk!
  10. I had my sleeve surgery one year ago today! It's just been the best year I could imagine. I love not being fat and I have been maintaining at goal for over 6 months. My last pair of jeans that I bought is a size 6 and the top I bought was a small. I've gone from a 3 X to a SMALL! I am so glad somebody invented sleeve surgery!:thumbup1::thumbup::biggrin0:
  11. Hope you're feeling fine by now Wendy!
  12. When I was first sleeved, I had a really hard time telling when I was full. If I ate until I was full, I felt like I was going to burst 20 min later and it was very uncomfortable for at least an hour. I learned to stop before I felt full. Honestly, if you could break a staple or develop a leak from overeating, I would have done it.It hurt so bad to be that full, but I did learn to stop way before that feeling. Eating with the sleeve is a learning experience.
  13. That is what my dr. told me too. I had all those horrible symptoms and he said it was from the stomach being so small that things don't stay in there very long and it feels the same as dumping.
  14. I have days where I eat a lot of junk food. I try not to beat myself up over it because I also have days where all I eat is protein and a little bit of veggies and that is all I desire on that day. Some days are different than others, and you won't want to eat candy every day, believe me!
  15. Tiff, I have definitely dumped. It doesn't happen nearly as much as it did when I was first sleeved. I asked the dr. about it and he said that it's because our stomachs are so small that the sugar enters our bloodstream a lot faster. I had all the symptoms that you described and it's horrible. The worst time was when I had a piece of wedding cake that had thick frosting on it. I don't know if that is what is going on with mb20mom because the sensations she is describing are not the same. I think you should describe it to your doctor MB20Mom.
  16. tomorrow I will have my sleeve for one year! Having my band out and getting my sleeve was the smartest and best thing I've ever done for myself!
  17. Join us in the chat room! I see you live on the Oregon coast too! Where do you live? We chat a lot in the evenings. I try to get in around 6 pm Pacific time cause so many people live across the country so it's 8-9:00 their time. We have a great time gabbing and it's an easy way to get to know some of us, and get all your questions answered!
  18. Wendy I am so glad to read that you are doing so well! I can't wait til you're back in the chat room! Welcome to the losing side and now start watching the scale start moving right on down!
  19. Great Tiffany! 16 lbs is fantastic! I am glad to read you're not having any problems. time to watch that scale keep dropping while the lbs just melt away!
  20. City, we have all been where you are with this. Just remember you'll be at goal in no time and learning to date when you don't have a bunch of experience with it, is a whole new experience!
  21. It's not a good idea. It really makes you feel like you're going to explode. For me, there just doesn't seem to be any room in there for carbonation. I was told we were not supposed to have them, but if you're obsessing about it, try and and see if how it makes you feel.
  22. Okay, I have the chat window open early tonight for anyone who is across the country in another time zone!
  23. They have couches in the rooms. Just make sure you tell them you'll need one big enough for your husband to sleep on. It's my understanding that if you don't bring anyone, it maybe smaller.
  24. Dr-Aceves-bandsters : Dr-Aceves-bandsters ^^^^^^ click on that. It says bandsters but there are more sleeve people on this group. Dr. Aceves doesn't even like to do bands anymore. You have to sign in with a yahoo sign in name. If you have a yahoo email address, that is your sign in name.
  25. I can't answer that. Everyone I know that has had WLS has lost a lot of hair. Everyone complains about it in my support group. I have heard of some people not losing nearly as much as I have, but everyone I know complains about losing quite a bit between months 4-9
