  1. I am really getting frustrated. The pages take a really long time to load. All the ads have to load first and you sit and wait for the posts to come up. I have learned my way around this new site , and I still don't like it. I sure haven't been spending the time I used to spend here before the changes. It's just too frustrating and the posts are so tiny, they are too hard to read.
  2. Alex, the default font size that we are stuck using now if we don' t edit each post is very tiny! I am sure most of use liked being able to pick a color and stick with it for every post, which we had set from the user cp. I don't care as much about the color as I do this tiny font that I can barely see.
  3. If you really want to eat bread, there is some new really thin bread in the grocery stores these days. They are shaped like hamburger buns but they are very thin. One slice or half of this bun like shape, is 50 calories. I doubt if you'd be able to eat the whole thing. Have you tried the ricotta bake that's in the recipe section? It's good and full of protein. Bread has no protein in it but you could try the deli meat with it if you're cleared for solids.
  4. Everyone is different though. I was a band to sleeve revision and had no nausea or pain . I had left shoulder pain the first 24 hours from the gas they use during surgery. The next day, I was fine and drank anything they brought me with no trouble what so ever. I could not even tell I had surgery. I was walking around outside the hospital all day long because I was so bored in my room. When I got home, I was able to drink my Protein and move to the full liquid and mushy stage with no trouble. When I got to solids, that was another story. I was not in pain or nauseous, I just got really full on only a few bites, so I was still supplementing with Protein drinks.
  5. For me there is no difference between mushy and soft. Different doctors use different terminology. I had yogurt, sf fudgsicles, listed as a full liquid. Soft or mushy are things like egg salad, and I was also allowed ground meat. I often made ground turkey seasoned it with taco seasoning put cheese on top and mushed in a bunch of sour cream. It was yummy even though I could only eat a few bites. For clear liquid, I used unflavored whey protein and put it in anything that was clear, such as sf gatoraide.
  6. Thanks Susan. It's a real PITA the way it is now. Also, do we have to change our font for each post every time we post? In the old system, I had it set so that every post I made had the font and color I want. I don't see a way to do this, except for doing it every time I make a new post.
  7. Thank you Alex. I know you work very hard to make VST the best site around and we really do appreciate it. Getting a sleeve is pretty scary to most people and being able to come here learn and share is so valuable. People learn more here than they do sometimes from their own doctors and they say so all the time. That is thanks to you for all your hard work that you provide VST for us.
  8. Thanks for the tutorial. That did help. I went and read about the pms and it said there would be a box to check to delete the ones you want deleted. I can't find any box next to any of my pms. My box is getting full but it's hard to delete them one by one. I need that box to check.
  9. Okay, Alex , you know I trust you! The problems we don't like in the chat room are we liked being able to chat in different colors. It makes it easier to see each person's last addition to the conversation. We also liked being able to choose our own font for that same reason. The chat screen is just too small. Sometimes it gets very full in there. I also liked being able to stop the scrolling when the screen is moving really fast. Alex, I think the chat room is really important. It's where new people come when they are scared and they can't eat right after surgery, or they are dehydrated and don't know it . They are nauseous so they stop drinking and that makes things worse. They come to the chat room because they are afraid they made changes to their bodies that are permanent . They want reassurance that everything is going to be okay, from people who have been sleeved awhile. Are these things that you'll be able to change?
  10. Protein shots are not the best form of protein . You need whey protein. Read on them and see if they are collagen protein which comes from boiled cow hide. Every doctor and nutritionist I have ever talked to said it's important to get your protein from Whey.
  11. Please tell us we are not stuck with this chat room. Everyone hates it. We can't change the color or the size of our fonts . and the chat screen is way too small. the only good thing about it is the band people can't hop in and out. I am finding it much more difficult this new way to post. how do we permanently change our font size and color for all of our posts without doing it individually for each post? How do you delete old pms? I have to bring up each pm and then delete, rather than check a box and delete a whole page of them? Alex please explain why we had to have these changes? Everything is much more difficult, even if you can do what you want to do-why make it harder to do it?
  12. I am glad you like it. I hate it. I find it really difficult to navigate around and it's even more difficult to reply to a post. I am probably going to be spending a lot more time over at OH. The old format was perfect so I don't know why it needed to be changed. The chat room is going to die because all the regular chatters hate the new chat room.
  13. When you go to your pms, I don't see a way to delete several at once. I don't see a box that you can check to delete a bunch of pms at once. I have been having to open the pm and then delete it. Is there going to be a spot to click on new posts? Also, we are all really unhappy with the new chat. There isn't a way to make the font bigger, or change the color. Is this the chat room we are going to be stuck with? There are a lot of us that really liked to chat in the evenings but I think the chat will just die a slow death if this is the chat we are stuck with . The screen is too small too. thanks Alex, I know you work hard to make VST the best! thanks also for showing me how to get to user CP
  14. If you have been cleared for full liquids you can have soup as long as there are no big chunks in it.
  15. Good advice Diva! I just for the first time tried the Syntrex nectar products. I decided to get the sample packet because I will be flying soon and wanted to take some Protein with me. I think they are very good. Protein is important for healing so I would suggest trying to find one you can tolerate. Potatoes don't have any protein in them anyway, so they really aren't the best idea for a meal when you're getting very little protein daily.
  16. Really it does get better. I really feel like I eat normally now. My portions are small, but I am satisfied and when I go out to eat, I eat what other people eat. I just can't eat as much. It's so worth it. I love not being fat anymore!
  17. Congratulations! I remember when you first got sleeved and you were doubting yourself. I knew you could do it. If you want to lose a little more, I wish you the best!
  18. Where is the user CP? I can't find anything! I want my subscribed threads!
  19. Congratulations! I love how everyone is so happy on this board. You rocked your sleeve!
