Please help
Everyone is right. You need to concentrate on fluids right now because dehydration causes all sorts of problems, including nausea. Have you tried the Kellogs K20 Protein drinks? They do not have that protein taste. They taste more like a koolaide or crystal light. gatoraide or poweaide is good too, as someone stated . You should try to get a hold of your doctor's office too an tell them how you are feeling. There are other places to order samples too, if you look in the food section .

Stall broke
Did you do anything differently? Did you add more exercise or change the amount of calories or carbs? Congratulations on breaking the stall, but it would be great if you could post whatever you thought help break it so others could benefit. Everyone gets so frustated when they stall!

2 years ago today
Thank you everyone! That study I read was a new sleeve study. I know the regain is much higher for Gastric Bypass patients. Diva is right though. It is necessary for me to weigh every day and not let 2 lbs get away from me. I was foolish at Christmas because it was always so easy to take a few lbs off with the sleeve if I "overindulged" in the past. This time I did everything right and the scale did not move. It was the same thing as in the past, I'd lose a lb during the week and gain it back on the weekend. I finally got a handle on it and it took working out hard and making sure I had nothing in between meals. Now I am much more careful and I don't take my sleeve for granted.

2 years ago today
:hurray: Two years ago today I got 85% of my stomach removed and I have never been happier. I love that for the most part I have maintained my weight loss for over a year. I did gain a few lbs over the Christmas holidays and it was not easy taking it off. What a lesson! It showed me that as we get farther out, it's easy to slip up and not so easy to take it back off. My sleeve keeps me from over eating most of the time so if I follow the rules and eat my Protein first, I rarely have room for dessert. I read a study that said that it's common to put on 20 lbs by 5 years post op but I plan on not having any part of that!

Vitamin D (DRISDOL)
My vitamin D does not stay up unless I do the 50,000 once a week. I was taking 2,000 per day for months and it did not go up at all. The 50,000 once a week brought it up to 80.

scared i drank to much
Why is your diet so strict that you can't have the things that most people can have on the post op diet, like ricotta cheese? is it because of the complication after surgery?
-
What to stock up on?
Scroll down the forums to the food section and you will find "protein drinks and powders"There is a thread called places to order samples"

scared i drank to much
I was supposed to drink 2 oz every 10 min so 8 oz over an hour is not really all that bad. Just sip, Don't sip to the point of being uncomfortable. You do need your Protein and your liquids, but just sip slowly. Every day should be easier where you can take bigger sips.

Liquid diet crisis
If you want to try the nectar products, their sample pack is the way to go. You get one of every flavor and if I remember, it was around 20.00. Look in the food section for the list to get samples of it.

Does anyone else not take calcium citrate?
Are you not able to order things online? There are many places you can get it online. vitacost.com has everything you could even imagine. They have calcium citrate in several chewable forms as well as capsules that aren't that big. I also really like the liquid calcium citrate that I get from costco. You can order through Costco online, I am sure.

Liquid diet crisis
I agree Blackberry. PVL is really good. It's expensive for 2 lbs though. I found another Peanut Butter and chocolate that is cheaper because it comes in a 5 lb jug. It's Gaperi myofusion peanut butter choc. I think it's just as good.

Prepared liquid protein drink (EAS,SLIMFAST)
Some of the ready to drink Protein drinks are muscle milk light ( which I think is delicious) slim fast low carb ( if it doesn't say low carb , it's way too high in carbs) Oh Yeah, Atkins, and Isorpure. I sorure is not milky it's a kool aide -like drink. You can usually buy it at GNC and they will let you take it back if you don't like it. It is considered clear. As for powders you can mix up , go to the food section of the forum and there is a list where you can order different samples, recipes of Protein Drinks, and a rating of the drinks someone made. The nectar drinks from Syntrax have a few in clear liquid.

12wk Pregnancy Appt Update- U/S and Bump Pics
That is an adorable picture of you and Sprout Tiffy! He's going to be a big boy cause you've got quite a bump going on already! I often have to take a swig of gavescon right before bed. It usually does the trick. You might want the tablets to carry in your purse if it starts up in the day time. I remember the farther along I got, the more heartburn I had

Liquid diet crisis
I love BSN Lean Dessert chocolate fudge pudding. I like to mix it with their banana fudge pudding. I also like BSN Lean Dessert Coconut candy but I can put the Torini sf syrup coconut flavor in the fudge pudding flavor and it's just as good. I get it at vitacost. Have you gone to the food thread to see all the samples you can get?

Day 25: I lost this whole post.
We chat in the evenings. It depends on your time zone. I try to check in early for those on the east cost. Last night we were chatting til past 1 am pacific time and the person I was chatting with was a couple hours ahead of me. Keep checking! You have to open a separate window and minimize it. Then I read posts or email etc, and I wait for the doorbell that will ring and I will know someone came in.,

Cash pay and afraid of possible complications
I think it makes a huge difference when you check out your doctor's statistics for complications. Dr. Aceves statistics are fabulous so I had no qualms about self paying and had no worries about any complications. I am a few days from being 2 years post op and my only complication has been anemia so I started taking Iron. My insurance paid for that blood test.

IF YOU WORK OUT ALOT, SOMETIMES YOU CAN EAT TO LESS AND AFFECT YOUR WEIGHT LOSS
Mariah , You are exactly right. The body needs time to adjust to it's new weight before it wants to give anymore up. I've lost 5 lbs overnight after a stall, without doing anything differently, just because it's time.

Day 24: Dying to be thin?
Great thread. I have been hanging out with my ex husband. He was my h.s. sweetheart and I married him at 19 and left him at 21. We reconnected last summer. I've never told him I had surgery. It's kind of funny . We eat together all the time. His mom died and he's convinced it was cause she had gastric bypass years ago. I am not about to defend this WLS to anyone.

!!! MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT !!!

A strange request for all those who like myoplex!
you could order some samples. If you scroll down to the food section, there is a place to order different kinds of samples. Then you won't get stuck with somthing you don't like and you might find one you really like. I really like Myofusion peanutbutter/chocolate. Let me know if you want to know where to get that. I also really like BSN lean dessert in the fudge pudding flavor. You can get BSN from vitacost.com

Maybe this is a stupid question....
In the hospital they gave me medicine in my IV for nausea. You can get a prescription if you are nauseous at home too. You should always take any pain meds with whatever food depending on stage you are on. You can take it with a Protein drink.

Day 24: Dying to be thin?
