  1. It was just as you're describing. I ignored it as long as I could and then finally had to go to the ER. Then I had pancreatitis from ignoring it. Sounds like gall bladder to me!
  2. I think you're doing fine. You're getting protein in for your meals. I take it you don't like protein drinks? You can usually get almost 30 grams extra with one protein drink. Cottage cheese is high in protein. So is soft fish. There is protein hot chocolate you can order online that's really good and also a pudding called Propuddinng by Body Tech. You can get it at the Vitamin Shoppe or Amazon.com if you don't have a vitamin shoppe. It's really good and has 25 grams of protein.
  3. You can mix it with water of any sugar free drink that you like. Experiment. There are a lot of flavored mix in things that you mix with water that you can use to make the protein taste better.
  4. My band never slipped but I was still waking up every night puking up acid and choking. It got to where I was afraid to go to sleep. Sure don't miss one thing about that band!
  5. yes it's normal! Is it unflavored whey? If so you can put it in anything sugar free. I put it in crystal light, Hawaiian punch, poweraide zero, etc. It's good in soy milk too. Soy Slender is sugar free and it's good.
  6. tell us what kinds of foods you're eating and we can see where you can get more protein in.
  7. I found these little miniature sandwich thins. They are perfect. They are sliced really thin and the little round is very small. I bought them and they are in my freezer but I have gotten out of the habit to make sandwiches now.
  8. You could use ground turkey for taco meat. With the seasonings, you can make it taste really good. At that stage, I made it soupy with a lot of sour cream, some mashed up avocado and melted cheese. very yummy
  9. BSN Lean Dessert Makes a really good vanilla. You can get it and all the other Lean Dessert flavors at vitacost.com. Did you look on the food thread? There is a list of Protein drinks rated from best to worse. You can make them better too by using vanilla soy milk instead of Water or milk.
  10. Taco meat with sour cream is really good too. You can melt cheese on top.You should be able to have chicken salad too.
  11. I love Fashion Bug! I wish I could go to one that had deals like that! There are a lot of good deals out there with clearance sales and thrift stores. I've gotten stuff at the thrift store that was like brand new for a couple of dollars.
  12. A lot of people become lactose intolerant after being sleeved. I was, but now that I am almost at 2 1/2 years, it seems to be going away. It's definitely not as bad.
  13. Try ricotta cheese. It's similar to cottage cheese . There is a recipe for the ricotta bake in the food forum. Basically, mix in an egg with the ricotta cheese and some mozzarella cheese, and bake it. Then put some marinara sauce on it.
  14. I really don't know how much it would be to ship a box of clothes. They have those flat rate boxes but the largest one doesn't hold much.
  15. Good luck with that. The people here who had the band had it removed because the band causes so many problems. I did lose weight with the band but I would have gained it all back because of band problems. I started gaining it back and have my revision to sleeve. Go to lap band talk.com and you'll find some people who have the band but most of them have not had it long term. There aren't a lot of people out there who still have bands after a few years.
  16. I've never even heard of those stores! You're lucky to have found such good deals. I even went out of town today and couldn't find anything. I am going to look online for those stores and Fredricks of Hollywood.
  17. Seiously? You were expecting 60 lbs in a little over a month?
  18. Our bodies have to get used to the new weight before it will up more. Going on plateaus are really frustrating but eventually the scale starts dropping again.
  19. You didn't do this for nothing. You barely had surgery a month ago. It takes time! Watch your carb intake and you will lose weight. We all go through these plateaus where we think we aren't losing fast enough.
  20. That sounds like a very harsh diet. I hope everything goes well for you and your edema is resolved.
  21. Ask for a very specific post op diet.
  22. He likes me to wear it for awhile watching TV before we go to bed. I love his reaction so this has been fun. I need something like a cover up because it's going to be getting cold in the evenings soon. I am excited to go shopping tomorrow!
  23. I have some clothes but I would need the money for postage to ship them. You can send me a message if you would like my address. They are clothes from size 24 3x on down to XL. I lost weight with the band, so some of the styles are 5 years old, I'm afraid. I guess I finally realize I am not going to gain it back.
