Losing 1-2 pounds a week.. is that ok?
I haven't dropped anything in weeks. I think I might be getting ready to though. I ate very badly at the county fair yesterday and I didn't gain anything. That usually means I am about to lose a couple. I only have 5 more lbs that I want off and I will consider myself done. I bounce around between 145-147-148 but I have been 145 for a few days now. I just want to see 140 and if a couple more were to fall off, that would be fine. I don't see that happening unless I did really hard cardio every single day, the way I did when I got my band. I don't have that motivation anymore.

Some are clueless
My dad drank nothing BUT coke for years. As long as I can remember, from a small child, he always had coke in front of him. He lived to be 90.

I agree. There is no way I could handle a class of 5 year olds.

What do you want to do that you couldn't do before the sleeve?
That is so true Susan. It's ridiculous how ugly the plus sized clothing is. There is one store that has a nice plus size section. It's fashion bug. I liked their clothes better than Lame Bryant.

Introduction and my story all in one!
Linda, if you want to chat, put up a post or send me a pm. I am open to chatting anytime. I will be busy the rest of this week and weekend, but next week is good. What time is good for you?
-
come into the chat room!
Oh I have a counseling session at 6pm pacific time and then a friend invited me to dinner. Normally, I would be open to anytime after 4 pm Pacific time. That's what time I get off work. Susan just let me know what time is good for you. Tomorrow I am going out of town, and then I am going camping this weekend. So lets set a time for Monday night if that's good for you!

Forgive me for I have sinned...
You must have way more willpower than me. They would be calling my name every hour and I would eat them until they were gone.

Pre-Op Jitters
That's the size Dr. Aceves uses too. We all seem to have that size because most of us went to him.

Reflections from a Fat Chick
There have been really very few times when I wanted to eat more because it tastes good. I think the negative reinforcement of what happens when I eat too much helps. About the only time I want to eat more, is pizza. I miss eating pizza when everyone else is having several slices and I can't.

Do we always have to talk about the sleeve?
Does the eye liner hurt? That kind of freaks me out having a needle so close to my eye. Would it be cheaper if you only did the top lid? Also, the line is not really thick is it?

biotin
I have to take a bunch of stuff for my interstitial cystitis. They are all herbs. I got a book called herbs and the urinary tract. Those herbs have helped me so much, and I am really glad I can get them all down.

Advice needed
I will watch for that show Ruthi. I know for me, losing weight has not improved my self esteem all that much. I can't wait to start therapy today.

That link did not work for me. Is there any scale that shows muscle weight?

Forgive me for I have sinned...
I would have to either eat the entire box or throw the box down the garbage disposal. It's all or nothing with me. Chocolate goes down way too easy.

Pre-Op Jitters
Believe me, having a tiny stomach is great. I love never being hungry and I love getting full on a small amount of food. I don't feel deprived at all when I watch other people pig out.

Some are clueless
I saw a thing on tv once that mountain dew is the worst soda you can drink. There is something in it that rots your teeth. They were showing these dentists working on people's teeth, and asking if they drank Mountain Dew. I shouldn't say bad things about it. It's a Pepsi product and I have stock in Pepsi.

I'm on the other side too
I can't tell when I am full. I have to stop before I am full by recognizing the size portion I know will work. I feel really full like 15-20 min after I am done eating. The times I ate until I felt full, I was really in trouble. I was way too full, and felt like my stomach was going to explode. It was painful. Now I dish up tiny portions, and tell myself I can eat more later if I want. I never want to though. I stay full for a very long time.

Judy you must have a heck of a lot of energy. There is no way I could keep up a garden and can all that stuff. You're going to be a whirlwind after surgery. Judy, our human tornado!

What do you want to do that you couldn't do before the sleeve?
I guess I have already accomplished my only goal. I wanted to stop shopping in the plus size department. When I first had WLS, I couldn't even come up with a goal weight. All I knew was I wanted to shop in the regular sizes. It does feel good. Outside of that, I want to be happy. Like I said, there is a thread at LBT that says "why doesn't skinny fix it all?" It doesn't . Being skinny, not that I am skinny, does not necessarily mean happiness. I am starting counseling tomorrow to figure out what it's going to take for me to be happy.
