  1. I made egg salad on mushies and it went down great. I could not eat very much, but it was easy to eat. Boiled eggs, low fat mayo or miracle whip light, and a tiny bit of mustard.
  2. Yes, I am post menopause but I take hormones. I feel pretty dead today. This getting hardly any sleep is going to kill me.
  3. I don't see the point of twitter at all, and like VA, between here and facebook, that's about all I can handle.
  4. I take a probiotic. It really helped me when the people at the health food store told me to take it on an empty stomach. 2 hours after meals and one hour before a meal.
  5. You have no idea how badly I wish I could get 8 hours of sleep per night.
  6. Oh way cool. $100 is way better than $300. Maybe VA can get me a deal since she said she's a member of JC
  7. you really can eat anything you want with the sleeve, just not very much of it. Getting full really fast really takes your mind off food for hours. You are going to have to decide how much you really want to lose weight, because you will still be able to eat chips and candy, etc. I am very big into exercise. I am sure I could have gone back to weight training sooner than 6 weeks, but I was out of town for quite awhile after surgery and didn't want to pay for another gym. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to.
  8. Manatee, I had surgery on a wed and I could have easily gone back to work on Mon. I actually think I could have gone back on Fri but Dr. Aceves makes you stay in the hospital for 3 days. The main problem is the post op (you know the drill) liquid diet. Some people are really tired, but I think that's mainly if you can't fine a Protein drink that you like. For me, recovery was non existent.
  9. oh that's one I have really tried to get into, and absolutely can't. Hey I went out of town today and ran into Suzanne at costco. Crazy. I had to drive 100 miles to go to Chase bank to take care of some issues with my dad's account so I decided to stop at Costco cause not only do we not have Chase bank here, we don't have Costco either.
  10. My vit D was really low too. WASa told me one of the symptoms was sugar cravings and since I have really started increasing it, I notice that my sugar cravings really have gone down. The only other thing I take besides the biotin is calcium citrate and a multi vitamin. The rest are all herbs that have made an amazing difference with my interstitial cystitis.
  11. Do we really need that upper GI if everything is fine? I will have to wait until Oct. cause I don't have ins. and I can drive to Mexicali from Phoenix. It's so much cheaper there. Maybe I can get WASa to go with me.
  12. What is TAR?
  13. Wow! You really got out of the hospital fast! Walking is the best way to get the gas moving.
  14. I am glad I got the band out and got the sleeve before I gained very much weight back.
  15. We don't have a Jenny Craig , here in the middle of nowhere, where I live.
  16. Kauser, get some of those samples so you can find something that works. I am sure that because I liked my protein drinks, and was able to get in a lot of protein right from the beginning, it helped my recovery.
  17. I don't miss them at all. I like the fact that the only thing I drink is either a protein drink or water. As far as I ever stray past water is Propel. It's just water with calories, but at least not many. I only drink that when I go to the movies . Somehow, I think I need a treat at the movies.
  18. Won't we be fun in Vegas? Are we going out to dinner?
  19. Big Brother is a hoot. Tiff likes big brother too. I love all the sneaky underhanded backstabbing.
  20. Thanks for the update. I hope drinking gets easier for you soon.
  21. I had a revision and I am doing great. I love never being hungry. I haven't lost much weight because I lost it with the band. I had to have my fill removed and I know I would have gained it back. It's been a learning experience learning to eat with the sleeve. You can't eat one bite too much or you will be in pain.
  22. Send a message to Susan. I am sure she can make that section for you. Congratulations! You did make the right choice.
  23. Best wishes for an uneventful recovery. Check in with us as soon as you can! We will all be thinking of you.
  24. I hope Penny checks in with us. If she has no lap top, Dr. Campos was great about loaning his to me. Every day around 3:00 he brought it to me, and I was able to keep it until morning. I was so thankful.
  25. Have you tried any of the nectar drinks? tiffy says caribean cooler is really good. those seem to be more popular than the milky type protein drinks.
