    Mindset

You can stall several times while you are losing so yes you may be stalling again. Remember a stall is the time your body uses to reassess & readjust to your lower weight & new needs. It resets things like digestive hormones, metabolism, etc.

    Why am I so depressed

I am not sure what is going on with me. I had my surgery Dec 8th last year and I have already lost 96 pounds. My wife is happy. I am more active. I can now keep up with my kids for the first time in years and years. I am more active, and my sex life is amazing now. For some reason I am super depressed. I mean it is bad. I feel fat ei feel disgusting. Maybe it is cause idk what to do. As everything gets better in life I seem to be spiraling out. Can someone please give me some advice.

I would hope your doctors would take your wishes into consideration as well. Hugs- I cant imagine this has been an easy road.

    Not sure

    Gotta get my head right

Do you track actual food intake? It’s easy to exceed calories and not knowing exactly what you put in when snacking can add up in a hurry. I weigh everything I eat, even at work, and use Baritastic app to log calories and this way you know exactly what goes in. I actually lose too much weight while working because the food they serve doesn’t fit into my new diet. 5 months and 3 weeks post surgery and I’m down 135lbs. Follow the plan and you’ll do great.

    loose skin after gastric sleeve

along the same lines as others have said, even though I eventually had my loose skin removed, I would have taken that any day over being morbidly obese again. No brainer. ANY FRICKIN' DAY!

    One year!!!

Congrats on your 1 year anniversary! I am sorry though that it took for wls to be taken seriously. That really sucks! And for shame to doctors who judge someone's symptoms by their weight. All the best to you!

    Pre-Op Diet Hell

Great answers here. I actually got the stomach flu the first few days of my pre-op diet which was hell, but in some ways, an easier way to kickstart the process. The caffeine withdrawal sucks and I actually eased into that a bit pre-op (with approval from my nutritionist). But was fully off caffeine by surgery. Listen, this is a really tough process. It’s okay to be sad and scared and depressed. Remember tho your “whys”. Why are you doing it? Because if you stick with the program, it *will* result in weight loss and will change your life for the better. Some days will suck, especially at the beginning, but you can do this!
