All I can eat is 2 bites

You look amazing! Glowing and happy. Your before pic, you look beautiful and happy too. Yes I too worry I'm losing weight to fast. I did this surgery because I had sever back pain and a herniated disc. I never want to be stick thin, and I want to be healthy, so I get your fear. The tightness is the restriction, and don't worry it will get better. Two bites also made me full but now at 8 months in, I can manage eating half a sandwich (it takes time though). So it will get better, just hang in there. Some ppl even miss this period, I am not one of those people.

The wait was hard for me but also somewhat comforting. I went through a lot of emotions over those 6 months waiting for a date and I do think talking with a therapist was invaluable. Eating for me was really tied into my emotions and I'm still working on trying to separate the two. Hang in there! Hopefully you will get a date soon.

Thanks for sharing your surgery. I've been in the process of jumping through hoops and now just waiting for a date and it's great to hear about what the time during and right after surgery is like.

Given your friend is very strict, are you sure they would be receptive to a dessert type of gift? They may perceive this to be a sabotage attempt. Perhaps consider what they would like or prefer over your preference to provide a dessert. If you want to make something, maybe consider something you could make, like a scarf, a photo frame, etc etc

    Breaking the stall

As of last Tuesday, I was in a 2 week stall. Even knowing it was normal and inevitable, it felt terrible. I let myself feel down for a day and then I increased my protein intake and started resistance band training (I was exactly 8 weeks out). I also incorporated more potassium rich food to combat sodium bloat. Today I went in for my 2 month follow up and I’m down 12 pounds from last Tuesday, 32 since surgery, and 45 from my starting weight. I’m sure the stall would’ve broken on it’s own but I feel good about the adjustments and I’m enjoying short resistance workouts. Hoping anyone else in a stall right now feels hopeful after reading this!

    Chips

I was probably a year out before I ate popcorn. Much longer for chips. I do eat popcorn occasionally - I almost never eat chips. Too much of a temptation to overdo it - or at least it is for me.

I started at 5'3 and 320 pounds over BMI of 58 - I didn't go in to get weighed until I lost 10 lbs on my own! After 10 years, I am now 65 years old and am about 5'2" lost over 140 pounds and weigh 172 to 175. My BMI is (adjusted for age) 31. I am still considered overweight/obese. But this is as low in weight as I seem to be able to maintain and be healthy - My doctors are pleased. I am active and healthy ! I know, for some, this may not seem like a "VICTORY" - and I have been criticized even HERE for not losing more weight. I am more than thrilled with my results. I am as excited about buying size 14/16 petite clothing as someone buying size 2 clothing. (Well, I think I am as thrilled !!) I have zero desire to have plastic surgery to remove the extra skin - I have had enough surgeries to not want any more. I am over the moon thrilled with keeping it off and with my results. DO YOU.
