    Today's the DAY!!

It is finally here! My surgery day is today! Gotta be to the hospital by 1pm! I have already prayed for a good outcome! One of my support systems will drive me to the hospital, one will meet me there! Hubby will be there as soon as he gets off work! Everything's moving right along! Phase 2 of my new healthier lifestyle begins!!

I can't believe that I'm down 50 pounds since surgery on 11/22/16. I'm down 62 since 8/3/16. Best decision ever! I feel so much better and I can't wait until I can see the difference in my body. However, my clothes do feel bigger and I can comfortably sleep on my stomach lol so wins there! I can't wait to continue this journey. Question: Does/has anyone experienced incision pain more than 3 months after surgery? Just curious as I joined a boot camp and things such as burpees cause pain in my incision site. Thanks! I'd posted earlier with this same question. I'm two days away from surgery now [emoji322]. My brother in law had vsg 16 months ago so it felt natural to tell my sibs. My husband and kids of course know. I did tell my BFF's early on for the purpose of accountability. But I have struggled with this. The coworker that covers for me is aware as we've seen each other thru the death of his spouse, we are like siblings. I have examined my conscience though and realize the only reason I fear telling people is that they'll know I am "fat". [emoji23]. My brother in law simply told people that he'd "decided to take his health back". Works for me.

    Back Pain?

My back was killing me for the first 5mths post op. I started seeing a chiropractor and he said that it had to do with the drastic change in body shape. Basically, your back had to reshape and conform to "a new you". Because you weren't carrying as much weight. It does get better. I was getting adjustments for 6 mths after my surgery. I am almost one year out and it's alot better. Good luck and congratulations and the weight loss.

I was sleeved July 2016. I did have hair loss at 4 months post op. However, it's growing back nice and healthy! My hair stylist said I lost about 15% in volume, which is a lot for a Bariatricc patient. I take Biotin for regrowth and as a bonus, my eyelashes have never been so long in my life!

And try and get of all pain relief about 4 days after if you can .and when your family cook when your on the liquid diet I just went out for abit out ov site out ov mind ? As long as you willing to change you can't fail good look let me no how your getting on with ur journey ? And if you need any information on my journey to help yours please ask ??

I'm pre-op...I should have my gastric sleeve surgery date real soon! I'm ready for my relationship with food to end. I have enjoyed eating waaaay to long, I've eaten the best steak, the greatest Mac n cheese, the tastiest Desserts you could imagine. However, as of today, I surrender to it all. It's literally killing me slowly. My health is getting worse, my steps are getting shorter, my social life is non existent because of all the poor food choices I made. After my surgery, I plan to concentrate on keeping the weight off...I'm tired of being FAT...I'm over it!...I'm ready to get this party started. I'm looking for a good Protein shake as well. No chalky taste. Good luck with the surgery. Enjoy your holiday and this time next year...You will much smaller! Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App
