I feel you! My doc said not to eat while cooking, don't eat while drive and don't eat watching TV. It is funny how now I watch the clock and chew chew chew chew chew... The hardest thing for me is eating slowly but this is the reason I watch the clock!

    I Am So Beyond Frustrated...

Banded in December, but you say nothing about your band. Any fills? How much? Have you ever had any restriction? I have dieted for 30 years, and everyone started out good, but the failed miserably, sometimes gaining back more than I lost. That's why I needed surgery! Just because I had surgery did not automatically change my behavior. Not at first. It took a few fills and a lot of restriction to force me to change.

I Dont Know What To Do Anymore

I have only been banded a short while, but will relay my Aunt's story to you. She was banded three years ago at the same time some of her friends got the sleeve. She is still maintaining within a +/- 10lb range of her goal weight while some of her sleeve friends have started to gain again due to the aforementioned stretching. She did warn me about PB's, and did have some problems with her band due to being severely ill twice, but she still loves it. I like the fact that I have all my anatomy still, and that if something happens, it can come out. I also like that I can lose weight normally and so it is less obvious to people who don't know I've had it done. Also, I think it's important to note that the recovery time for the band vs the sleeve is much less. This was really important to me, as I manage a restaurant and could not be gone for too long. Since starting a low fat diet about three weeks before surgery and then transitioning to a pseudo liquid the week before surgery, I have almost lost 30 pounds. I am happy. I have been a slower loser post-band, "only" losing about 9lbs since my weigh-in on surgery day, but I am over the moon.

I don't count carbs, because a lot of good foods have carbs.. I have gotten rid of bad carbs, like bread, rice, sugars, pasta.. I allow carbs that are in veggies and protein, as far as fruit, I don't really eat it because fruit is high in sugars.. I eat very very little if I do, just 2 bits or so and it's just about 1 x every few weeks or so.. 15 is low for carbs.. from what I've read on line, 100 grams or lower is good per day is good..
