    Under 200!

For the first time in years, I'm under 200 pounds. Woo hoo. Lost 34 pounds pre-op and now 24 post-op. Surgery was on October 2nd. Weight loss has been slower than I expected, but my nutritionist said that I have lost 48% of my excess weight and am right on track. Yay!

    1 day post-op

Oh yes it’s normal. The first 24 hrs you still have anaesthetic in your system which is why you likely slept a lot yesterday. Now you’re starting to feel the pain, discomfort, muscle strains, maybe some nausea, etc. & generally feeling blah. The surgery is pretty major but in another couple of days you’ll notice you’re starting to improve. All the best.

    December Surgery Buddies!

Had my VSG surgery on Dec. 4th. The days following I’ve struggled to stay awake. Which has made getting enough fluids down. I’ve noticed room temperature or warm liquids feel easiest on my stomach at the moment. I’m not hungry or thirsty though, but I keep drinking because I know I have to. I just hope the weakness wears off and I can stay awake and be a little productive in the next week since I’m scheduled to go back to work on the 20th.

    1 day post-op

From everyone I have talked to , it seems like the first 3 days are the worst. Your body just went thru trauma and it's trying to figure things out. Rest and be comfortable ! Take it slow and you'll be fine.

    Weight loss and menopause

Well the Biote is a pelleting under the skin. But the doc has me taking all these supplements in addition. I have been almost 25 years post op. I am so tired of popping supplements
