    Food Shaming!

Ugh. I hated the “concern” people around me always had about my eating habits. I just said, “yup, I’m watching what I eat”, or “no thanks, I’m watching what I eat”, and tried to change topics to something about them. Thankfully the concern has more or less stopped at 2 years out. They are all used to it now.

How do you know you are ready

Hi everyone, I am having a lot of anxiety regarding my decision to do this surgery. I had my surgery set in July and I chickened out, then September, now finally in October. Here is the thing, I am in my final year of my PhD studies and it is very stressful. I am not eating healthy and just the thought of all the work needed to do this surgery is stressing me out. I had a spinal fusion surgery in February and I have been dealing with chronic back pain. I suffer from depression because of it. I feel like doing the surgery now is too overwhelming. But I feel a lot guilt for not prioritizing my health. What if I put of the VSG surgery and my back gets worse in a years time? My worse fear is that if I get the surgery, I will blow this opportunity because of bad timing. Should I wait until my studies is over in a few weeks? Or should I just do the surgery? Ideally I want to finish my studies and then get the surgery when I can commit to a healthy lifestyle, right now I can barely get out of bed in the morning. This has been going on for a year. I would really appreciate any advice or people with similar situations. Please let me know what you think.

    Food Shaming!

"Is that all you're eating?" Why do you ask? "Don't you like the food?" Why do you ask? They will give up.

    Food Shaming!

When I read the title "food shaming" I had something completely different on my mind.

Just my opinion, but we all find reasons not to take care of ourselves. Will there ever be a perfect time?

    Reality Is Setting In

Out of everything I packed, I used my chapstick, lotion, & phone/charger the most. I had a 2 day hospital stay.

It *may* be a bit relevant in the sense that had you NOT lost those 90 lbs pre-surgery, your post-surgery weight loss rate would likely be higher/faster. But dude, congrats on the massive loss!!! You are doing GREAT! ❤️

    Anyone for August 2020

I'm eating pretty much normal food now - I feel like maybe I shouldn't be because it has only been 5 weeks? Bit worried that my pouch isn't working as it should, I was expecting to feel full after two or three tablespoons of food. Nowhere near. Not sure why.
