Iโ€™m researching SIPS vs DS and Iโ€™m so confused on the correct choice! SIPS seems easier to live with less side effects possibly and an up and coming surgery while DS has been around longer and has more follow up data. My surgeons office only does SIPS and truly has not done that many of them so Iโ€™ll probably switch surgeons as well. My story is that I had a nightmare band experience in 2011, didnโ€™t lose much at all and regained all as well as port discomfort etc until being revised in 2017 to sleeve. I did amazing on sleeve for 2 years lost almost all my weight (112lbs) but regained about half. Iโ€™m desperate to find the right surgery and so afraid I will make another mistake! I know I need a more powerful surgery than the sleeve and yes Iโ€™m doing the โ€œhead workโ€ in therapy. Any advise on which I should choose or how I should make the decision?

    Fat floats!

This is, admittedly, very silly, but....has anyone else noticed this...? I've lost a shed-load of weight and I have an apron of skin up front. It's truly flop-tastic. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ However, when I'm in the bath, it magically begins to float up into a rather endearing little pot-belly. ๐Ÿ˜Š I know that fat is less dense than muscle and so it will float, but to see it in action is a bit of a giggle!

    14-day Pre-op Starts Today

Thanks everyone. Day 1 was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I did not crave food. Day 2 may be another story as we get catered breakfast/lunch tues-th at work. Lucky for me, the food is downstairs and I am upstairs. I also have a headache today (as expected) but in all I am still pumped.

    Over Night Stay

This is a useful thread. I will be riding a train to get to the hospital and back and would like to lug as little as possible. I'm supposed to stay two nights in the hospital and am thinking of staying a third in a hotel before going home--I don't want to be 5 hours away and have something develop. What did most of you wear in the hospital after your surgery? If you are supposed to get up and walk a lot I'd think you wouldn't want to stay in a hospital gown very long...no one wants to see my a$$ as I'm walking down the hall...๐Ÿ˜„ sorrynametaken, you posted as I was typing. Pajama bottoms sound great! I'm a "commando girl" and don't even own any underwear so pjs would work well.
