    My Doctor

Find a new doctor who will support your weight loss surgery, my doctor was very happy for me when I told her I wanted to have WLS as she should be because she knows how hard I was struggling with trying to lose weight on my own and all of my medical issues. You pay him not the other way around...just my opinion because I’m a no nonsense person, I have no problem changing if they are not supporting me...the insurance company has enough requirements, you don’t need more on top of that. maybe others here have some better suggestions. I wish you the best!

    The day is here!

I've just done my labs and am waiting to be admitted for my sleeve gastrectomy today. I'm very excited but slightly nervous. I'm alone in the waiting room since it's so early but I should have visitors later after the surgery is complete. Wish me luck! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Secret sleevers?

Local close friends and very close coworkers I told leading up to the surgery. Then once it became noticeable my local friends checked if I was okay and that they could see a change I’d tell. Similar to at work. Family found out when they see me not by social media or even a call. Although now that at 4 months my mom knows the whole family will know in a few days. I’ve posted nothing on social media other than pics of me and plan to keep it that way.

    Slow weight loss

Everyone's weight loss is different. But weight loss does and will slow down as you get smaller. This is because your BMI is reducing as you age and as you get lighter. So the amount of calories you were burning 7 weeks ago, is higher than it is right now.
