Everyone is different, but I had an easy recovery. I took a 5 hr flight and then spent a week at a wine and dine work event. Then followed by the weekend visiting a friend, and laying by the pool. Then flying back home. Concession stand food, probably not so much. I'd just pack a protein shake or something.

I mentioned id give more details about my day of and intake. It was pretty much like any other surgery. I arrived 2 hours early and they gave me Zantac, nausea meds, I also requested the patch for nausea. They put IV in and that took a few tries. Then the nurse anesthetist came in and gave me my first “cocktail.” Almost immediately they were wheeling me back and I was waving to everyone as we rolled past. That’s the last thing I remember! I woke up in recovery and immediately felt the gas pain and pressure. I had my husband rub my back and kinda pound on it a little like burping a baby. Then I think I slept. I was moved to my private room after a short time in recovery and then I slept most of the rest of my time there except when someone came into my room or when I was walking laps.

That's awesome bro, keep at it. I took a week off after the surgery and went right back to work. And walking is good! Try to up your numbers as the weeks go on. I'm a Campus Safety Officer so my levels of activity are different depending on the day. On average, on a slow day, I'm at 11000 steps or more. My water intake is high. First off, you are a man and a younger one at that ( see, my observation skills are almost as good as your math skills 😉). This means you got a leg up on weight loss - totally not fair but that's what you get with more muscle. Secondly, you are starting from a rather high weight, add in you are probably following your program very closely and your 80 pound sounds perfectly normal and safe. Keep up the great work!!

This afternoon I looked at my feet and it felt like I was looking at someone else's feet. I even sent my husband a text about it. My ankles aren't swollen either. Tonight my husband said my fingers look longer now from the weight loss. When I put on a non sports bra this evening I was in shock! There's a huge gap in my bra now. Wasn't expecting that to be so drastic this early on.

Same here. Feet are thinner and not swollen anymore. I had no idea ear lobes get thicker with weight gain. I also don't wear earrings so......

Could it also be ketosis, body fat being burned for metabolism fuel? Somebody told me this is true.😰

Hi All, I am 4 days post op and I am finally feeling like I am not going to die. I have turned a corner and the pain is finally a bit more bearable. It was a hard road but I am doing it. I am about 18-20 pounds down from the beginning of preop. this is about 2 1/2 weeks. Thank you for getting me through. Not easy but glad it is done.

If you're going crazy, so am I - it's not constant, but I certainly seem to be a lot more sensitive to sewage smells post-op than I was before. Some other smells too: I had some rugrats over and for a week afterwards, I'd suddenly get a whiff of berry tube yogurt. My sister later told me one of the kids had spilled a little on a couch and she'd cleaned it up, which I'm sure she did, since I'm the only one in the entire family who keeps smelling it. I'm also pretty sure one of my perfumes has turned, though no one else thinks it has. So maybe it's just a sharper sense of smell?

I had a consult today. They took one look at my belly and said I need plastics! They said it might help my arms a little. They have different machines that do different things but the results wouldn’t be dramatic. Sigh!!! They asked me if I was interested in any of their cellulite reducing technologies. I feel like no one is gonna notice the cellulite with my belly hanging between my knees!!
