I just wanted to share my experience. I was a neurotic daily weigher for about 15 months post surgery. And this far out it's no more honeymoon. For the past two weeks I have not stepped on the scale. I feel much calmer and peaceful. I'm not obsessing about my numbers on scale hence I'm not getting upset as much and having negative thoughts about my WLS journey. These days I have amped my workouts and I can feel my muscles toning. And it motivates me to keep working out harder and eat right.

    NSV!!!

I just got back from Hawaii! 5 Glorious Days. Four planes, no seatbelt extenders, and full use of the tray tables. I went parasailing, which was amazing and life affirming. So blessed to be on this trip in the first place, but so grateful for this life changing journey.

    Two days post-op

Sleevinpops, I think so too. I at least haven't had any of the side effects others have had. But I also know the journey has just started

    Liquids

I started the liquid diet today. So far I'm doing really well. I had a premiere protein shake(caramel) I added 1 scoop of genepro and topped it off with some coffee. That took me up until a little after 10 a.m. I started at 8:30 a.m. I'm not hungry but I have some Gatorade2 lime that I've been sipping on. I have some jello for lunch. I'm not supposed to start the diet until next Wednesday on the 22nd. However, I want to start early so that I can get the most out of my sleeve. Surgery is on March 1st. Portion control.

I either measure everything, or know by the size bowl that I used to measure into (for instance cottage cheese fits nicely in half of one of my travel containers.) interestingly enough I have bowls from the 1950s that fit the exact amounts of many of the foods I eat. I noticed at one of my stalls that I wasn't eating enough calories.
