Surgery Day Is Like Your Wedding Day.

and the first couple of years are like being on honeymoon, and then reality sets in and you just get on with it. Sometimes you wish you and your band had never met. Sometimes you love your band more than life itself And sometimes you contemplate ditching your band for another form of WLS.

    Going Well, Except 1 Thing

Congratulations Amanda, you are perfectly normal post-op! Everything you described happened to me and I have read about it happening to others here on these boards. I've lost 130lb in almost 12 months, so I am guessing you would be happy to be declared normal.

I was banded in December 2011 and I have never experienced anything that some on here have either. I have never had nausea, PB, or had anything stuck. I have 3.5 cc in my band now but I also have never had bread, potatoes, rice or pasta. Not one time since being banded. I asked my dietician about those problems that some have on here and she says its usually from eating too fast, drinking from a straw or eating foods that shouldn't be eaten. I feel quite lucky in that department.

Just want to second that you seem to being doing just fine. I had the same experience with chest "pressure" and feeling like I had to burp. Keep up the good work!

    Stress & Lap Band

from what i read here it seems that the band is very sensitive.. to time of day... even time of month, air travel, even road travel where there is elevation ... so stress would definately be a factor id say... what do the others here think?? ..a bit more here. why not just go back onto liquids for a day or so??

    Lost Another 2Lbs

Good for you tracey... I hope everything goes well with you. Follow everything your dr. tells you no matter how you feel! Hunger is a temporary feeling and most importantly it is most times a head feeling. When it comes to putting food in your body from now on, listen to your stomach! And I am feeling much better today... Depression, just like hunger should be temporary... I'm watching it tho' cause I've heard its common. If it continues, I'm the type who doesn't mind sitting infront of a counsellor. No prob about the spelling..lol..l I'm a teacher, I'm used to class clowns. lol Again, All the best!! Keep me posted...
