My 2nd Fill.........I'm On My Way To Restriction!

Recommended Posts

I have just received my 2nd fill today. This one was under fluroscope as oppossed to the first fill done "blind". I also have the Vanguard Band and now have a total of 4ccs. My fill today only consisted of 1cc. I was banded on 8/9/05, and have managed to lose 33lbs. I don't have alot of restriction, but I have definately been eating somewhat sensibly (compared to prebanding).

I have also been exercising like a madman! Actually, I'm kinda obsessed about working out! I feel VERY guilty and down on myself if I don't get AT LEAST 1hr. of Cardio each and every day! I work at the DFW airport, and when I get a break or on my luch time, I power walk the terminals. It's a blast to walk while at the same time I get to people watch! Believe me, at an international airport such as Dallas/Fort Worth, you get to see all kinds! It's not uncommon at all to see celeberties on a daily basis. I also jog and bike ride! Yesterday I rode an alltime personal high of 27miles! It took me about 2hrs! I'm feeling it today!!! The only thing I really need to be more consistent with, is my weight training routine. I need to structure my workouts better. So little time......so much to do!

I tought I'd share this with my Banded Bros and Sisters. I'm feeling pretty pumped about things and have SO much energy! For those of ya'll who haven't given exercising a fair chance.......give it hell.......it will make a world difference!!

GO BABY !!!!

Its so nice to see you on such a high Ray and I'm glad you feel guilty if you don't exercise, that IMHO is a good thing.

Hope your new fill is that "sweet spot" everyone talks about.

HUGS & KISSES !!

And thankfully no on the Flordia. Headed to Seattle, where thankfully they don't have hurricanes! :)

Congrats on the new record for cycling!! That's so fabulous, I have just really started to get into the exercise myself and I am really enjoying, yes, enjoying it. I get so pumped, kinda like the way you sound today!!! I love it.

Just remember with the new fill to take things slow and easy in the beginning or else, the dreaded PB will rear its ugly head. Congrats on the 33 lb too, that's great especially without the proper fill to help you out. Don't be surprised if you stall or even gain a litlle with all of this exercise, I know you know this already but it's true, muscle weighs more than fat.

Hey, do you ever take Landry out for a jog? It's good for her to get lots of exercise too. I need to walk my chihuahua more because lately she has become a bit of a chubby chihuahua, LOL. The vets going to have fit with me but it happens. I feed her good dry food and I even get the light version, she's like her mama(me) gains weight just thinking about food.< /p>

Enjoy your new restriction and keep up the great work.

Cindy

Way to go, Ray! 27 miles is quite an amazing accomplishment. Man, my butt would be so sore, I wouldn't be able to sit down for a week! ;-) It's so great to hear you have so much more energy and you're doing so good. You're pretty darn inspiring!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
