I have no idea how to describe this feeling. It comes and it goes. The best way to describe it is that it's almost like a lump between my throat and my chest. It doesn't necessarily happen when I'm eating either. It's been like this for a couple of days now and I'm not sure if it's anything to be concerned about. Has anyone had the same issues or know of anyone that has? Trying not to freak out, but I'm not sure if it's a symptom of a real issue here...

Yes, I have that too. Was banded a week ago. I is like I have to swallow a couple of time and it is gone. Not painful though. No idea what causes it, but it is a new sensation for me. Seems like it should be no problem though.

It's weird. Every now and then it happens when I take a deep breath. Now I'm having a Protein Shake and I have to go really slow or it feels worse. Hope I didn't do any damage over the Holiday (although I was REALLY good about weighing everything!)

I have had this feeling several times, I was banded on 11-9-09 and still on a liquid diet so I know that nothing is getting stuck......it is just really wierd as it comes and goes, I was going to ask my doc about it next week when i go to my f/u appt.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
