"Lump" in my throat?

I have no idea how to describe this feeling. It comes and it goes. The best way to describe it is that it's almost like a lump between my throat and my chest. It doesn't necessarily happen when I'm eating either. It's been like this for a couple of days now and I'm not sure if it's anything to be concerned about. Has anyone had the same issues or know of anyone that has? Trying not to freak out, but I'm not sure if it's a symptom of a real issue here...

Yes, I have that too. Was banded a week ago. I is like I have to swallow a couple of time and it is gone. Not painful though. No idea what causes it, but it is a new sensation for me. Seems like it should be no problem though.

It's weird. Every now and then it happens when I take a deep breath. Now I'm having a protein shake and I have to go really slow or it feels worse. Hope I didn't do any damage over the Holiday (although I was REALLY good about weighing everything!)

I have had this feeling several times, I was banded on 11-9-09 and still on a liquid diet so I know that nothing is getting stuck......it is just really wierd as it comes and goes, I was going to ask my doc about it next week when i go to my f/u appt.

I had that, my regular dr looked at my throat and said it was irritated and was probably fromt he tube that they put down your throat, it lasted about 3 weeks post op for me then went away.

I am 4 days post op and woke up with a nasty lump yhis morning...so sore, I figured I was getting a cold but feel OK otherwise...yoy are right, maybe it is from the tubes!
