Pain after eating... not in stomach

Recommended Posts

Hi all...

Have a question... bit concerned...maybe over reacting...

I was in hospital for 4 days, stuck on a liquid diet that was supposed to be post op (surgery #2) but I didn't need to be on because I didn't end up having the surgery. Basically the nurses kept forgetting to ask the doctor if it's ok to chart that I was on solids, so the meal people couldn't do anything about it... and the nurses couldn't get in touch with the doctor because he was off work.

I got home the other night and was STARVVVVVVVVVVVING. So ate a bit too much. Definitely had some discomfort... but I'm certain it was not in the pouch, because 1. I'm not restricted yet 2. I could feel every bite slipping through and 3. I was naughty and drank Water while eating thus food leaving the pouch (my biggest habit is drinking with a meal, slowly tackling that)...

Anyway.

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I was getting constipated... I had the pain associated with that in the (I think) right places.. not near the stomach.. over a bit to the right and down a bit. Not as low down as TTOM pain though...

Woke up and drank some metamucil.. in the morning I had no loo troubles... but the shooting pain I felt when bending forward was quite horrible...

After an hour or so it went away. Haven't had that shooting pain again either....

Since then... about half an hour after I eat every single time (and I have been fierce about eating small amounts after the other night...) I get pain in that area (the constipation-ish area) ....Just wondering if anyone has had this and if it's gone away... or if I should be worried at all?? Could me eating too much have done something in that area??

I'm just really confused because I don't believe it's actually associated with the band... but then again I'm not sure :w00t:

Do you still have your Gall Bladder?? That could be a culprit as well...sounds similar to the pain I had before mine finally came out.....of course, like Nicole, I'm not a doctor... I would call your surgeon if it continues...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
