Meaning I was going to keep my band..some of you know I said I was getting my band removed, I think I posted a thread about that in September. I thought I was going to be ok I thought I was starting to come around finally. I feel like I get the nausea every other week. And most of the time when I walk I get sharp pain where my band is. On October 30th I had very severe chest pain/acid reflux for like an hour(it seemed) last week was a pretty good week except one of my gym days at school I felt like I was gonna vomit (we were playing football). Yesturday we were playing our third day of pillow polo(my fav thing we do in gym class) I took a few sips of Water and it felt like it was gonna come back up. Last night had the chest pain/acid reflux again. Today I have really sharp pain in my stomach and diahrea, feel like I got to vomit, have a headache, feel a bit dizzy and a bit shakey. I see my dr on Wednesday. It's going to be official this time, my band's life is going to come to an end, yes I came very far trying to fight the nausea but I just can't deal with this anymore. I had nothing good but bad experience with this band the only good thing was that I lost 30 pounds and accomplished one of my goals and that was to be under 200, I'm done with being sick, it's the end of the road for the band but it's NOT the end of the road for weightloss!!!

Thanks for listening (:

Best of luck Erin. Some bodies just can't take the band. If you continue to have the same problems after removing the band, please seek more help.

Well, that's sad Erin. Its a big thing to go through surgery with such hopes, particularly at your young age, and to have it not work out for you. I'm sorry it hasnt been a roaring success, but I'm glad that you're looking at it positively in regard to achieving one of your goals. well done.

It really does sound like something's not right in there. Bands shouldnt hurt and they shouldnt make you sick.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
