Nervous about fill this Friday...

Recommended Posts

...up until a few weeks ago, I was doing so good! I was eating healthy, avoiding sweets, excercising 4 days a week... but that all went downhill. I have been under so much stress!

We are running short of work at work and everyone is grouchy, negative and argumentative. I usually go to the gym during lunch, but havent been taking one because we are working so hard trying to aquire some work so they dont have to start laying people off. YIKES!

My kids have been keeping me busy after work and on weekends with homecoming games and dances, halloween, birthdays, meetings at school, friend activities.. sigh, I can hardly breathe these days! When I do have a spare night, all I want to do is rest and eat, not go to the gym like I should. Apparently when I am stressed I eat. I never noticed it before, but I sure have now! :(

I havent been to the gym in 3 weeks, have been eating ice cream, chocolate, Cookies, and WAY too much in portion size. I'm excited to get another fill, hoping to reach that sweet spot someday, but i'm also nervous because I'm ashamed that I prolly havent lost any weight since I was there 7 weeks ago.

No reason to be ashamed! Life happens..we get busy.. You are going in for a fill to get back on track. The reason you NEED a fill is to help you get the weight loss going again! I'm sure as your band surgeon , he'll understand that. Don't be discouraged! You are learning things about yourself, maybe not stuff you wanted to learn, but now you can learn ways to deal with it better too. Once you have restriction back and are making healthy food choices maybe it will inspire you to get the exercise routine going again too. Best of luck!

Thanks for your support! My fill went well, considering... I lost 4 lbs since I was there last. Not too shabby considering what I'd been eating in the past few weeks. They just told me to get back on track and try to squeeze in some 'me' time by exercising.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
