I had my first fill...He put 4cc in my band and I get my second fill on 11-19...How much did they put in on the 2nd fill??

My band is 11cc and with the 4cc in it, I still feel no restriction.

Kibby, the amount of fill has a lot to do with your individual doctor's preferences and little to do with whether it is a Realize Band or a Lap Band brand band. I have the Lap Band band and my first fill was 4 ccs (on top of .6 that was left in the band when they tested it in the operating room)...and it was too much, I was so tight I couldn't swallow anything, so they had to take 1 cc out.

My second fill was the day after a significant car crash (an idiot pulled out in front of me and I hit him and totalled both cars). I got a fill but only .5. Others will tell you that all their fills are small, and still others will say that their second, third and event fourth fills were 1 cc or sometimes more.

I have the Realize-C band and my first fill was 4cc's. My second was 2cc's.

I'm actually going in tomorrow morning for another fill. Although I have been losing pretty steadily and I'm wondering if I "need" another fill. I don't think I've hit my sweet spot just yet, but I'm afraid that if I put too much in, I'll get sick (vomit) when I eat. We'll see.

I have the 11cc Realize band also and the first fill was 4cc's the 2nd & 3rd fills were 2cc's. 4th was 1cc, 5th was 0.5cc and 6th was 0.6cc. I have 10.1cc's and only a small amount of restriction, but I'm already nearing the band capacity and want to try to make it work where I am, since I have a long way to go. Thankfully my doctor allows fills every week or it would have taken me 6 months to get to where I am now.

Good luck!

I listed my fill amounts in my signature. I'm going for another fill today. I have some restriction but not enough. Hoping this fill will do it - I feel like I am very close to my sweet spot.

I have the 11 cc Realize band. My first fill was 4 weeks post-op and I received 5 cc's. My second fill was 8 weeks post-op and it was 1 cc. I am very close to my "sweet spot" and may not need another fill for a while.:(

I had my first fill today and I got 5.2 cc. They did it under flouro so they could be pretty aggressive. I guess I will know by monday night when I get back to solids if it is giving me restriction.

I have the realize band also and was banded in July 09. I am now up to 8 ccs and have not lost more than 3 lbs. I am so disappointed.

What foods have you been eating? How many calories a day? Do you have restriction at 8 ccs (maybe you need another fill)? What kind of exercise are you doing?

ok. Now I know what restriction feels like. haha. I went in for my third fill and got 1cc. To bring me up to 7cc;s and I feel completely different when I eat. I mean, I usually do measure stuff out etc, but I never felt "super full" or anything. and if I were ever anyplace where I wasn't measuring I could definitely eat more than I should. NOT anymore!! I'm so glad we didn't go with 2cc's like she wanted. I only wanted 1 cc and now I'm definitely feeling the restriction. Whoa.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
