Getting a Refill

Hello Everyone!

I was banded in April of 2008. I lost 40lbs in about 5 months. It was fabulous!! But I got content there, yes I know, BAD! I maintained really well though for a year, which was something I had never done before. That in itself was great.

Over Labor Day weekend something happened though. I ended up in the ER having my fill taken out. It was a horrible day. It took them a looong time to find the place in the port to unfill. They used x-ray and still couldn't get it. The called my doc and he got it right away... but that was at least a dozen pokes and pricks and HUGE bruise later.

They told me to come back to get a fill once I was recovered from the unfill. So God willing I'm going in tomorrow.

Monday evening I'm going to start a program called "couch to 5k". So hopefully I'll really loose some good weight with a refill and attempting to do a 5k by the new year!!

So that's me... Thanks for reading!!

Blessings,

Katie †

Hey Katie, so nice to have you!

Yes, the beginning is always the best. I lost almost 50 Lbs in the first 4 months. It was so great!

We do struggle after (at least some of us do), but hopefully you will find some great support here to get you through. I know I did!

Hang in there, and the C25K program is a really good one. I started but had to stop due to arthritis in my knees. I’m very sure you will find it is one of the best feelings you can get during exercise. I loved to run!

All the best J
