hi everyone

I've been so sick, have been coughing up a lung for days, getting a little better today. Got up and cleaned away and just showered and watching the mercy I missed.

First night I've been up past 8 in forever it seems.

Michelle, glad your daugher does not UTI and hope she starts to feel better soon

Kat - You are in my prayers, I hope the 2nd round of antibiotics starts to really work. That is great you got your tax return, you must have missed the cut off for last week. I did mine last Saturday and it says that I will have money in my account by the 12th. Good thing I changed FL trip, I was suppose to leave Thursday. I'm also really not in the mood and being sick..

Did I tell you all I read Dear John the other day? If I did I'm sorry for saying it again... but I picked it up and read the entire thing before noon. It was my life... when I was a teen to now, little different but the same. I have been an emotional wreck all week.

Tracy, he is welcome! My daughter can babysit!

Ok i'm going to get some more stuff done, I wanted to check in

Jenn: have you been to the doc? My friend had both flu shots two months ago and has the flu, and she is doing the same thing...fever of 102 + and bad cough, with backache. It must be a different strain of the flu we have down here. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Michelle: I hope your back lets up soon. It is so hard to get comfortable with that kind of pain; also, regarding your daughter, are they sure that she doesn't have a yeast infection. My daughter would get them when she was younger, but not anymore, and she didn't like going to the bathroom when she had one. I used to have to use the cream on her until it cleared up. I guess she doesn't get them anymore, because she is NEVER sick now and therefore doesn't take antibiotics. I hope whatever it is clears up soon.

Tracy, my dh is grilling ribs tomorrow in the cold windy weather for the super bowl. New Orleans has school off on Monday, I am thinking a few more districts will have to cancel if too many people call-in "sick". My district, however, does not think that our beloved Saints going to the Super Bowl is holiday worthy...whatever!

Ugh, that SUCKS! Be one of the "sick" ones! lol My dh signed us up on a couple of football squares this morning. How's that for last minute?! I am glad. Not only do I pray the saints win....I hope WE win! lol

It is a good thing you postponed your trip! See? It was meant to work out that way! I will run the idea by my husband about April. Who knows?! I have never heard of the book Dear John. Is it a good book?

Suzanne....what ya doin'?

Hello everyone! :woot: Superbowl Sunday :)

In December we changed to Verizon from AT&T to save some money.....NEVER AGAIN. I despise verizon. I have had more dropped calls than you can count. So, we are switching back to AT&T. Unfortunately we will have new numbers. I am SO glad. Now when we go to Louisiana we will have coverage again. Didnt have it with Verizon. No dead zones my as*. lol

My dh is getting a bed cover put on tomorrow. Our anniversary is on Valentines day and I am really hoping he gets me the ring I told him about. My dsd saw it while we were shopping so she can show him which one it is. It is from the Swavrosky (sp?) crystal store in our mall and it is absolutely gorgeous.:tt1: I can wish...(if he doesnt go get it I will get it for myself one day)

We are going to Coushatta on Friday for our anniversary but we have to some back Saturday for him to go to work nights. A little time away is better than none, right?

Everyone have a fantastic day. GO SAINTS!!!:w00t:

Well, Tracy, I can't call in sick if I'm not. I just know I will REALLY get sick if I do that. Besides, central office supervisors will be at our school doing observations. They like me, because I do my job well, and I would like to keep it that way. Sooooo, if I am on the list to be observed I would like to be there. As nerve-racking as it is, I like to get it over with.

My hubby is grilling today. We are having babyback ribs, burgers and shrimp. I am also making homemade baked Beans that are very tasty. I will be glued to my tv at 5:25!!!!

Wish we had a nice enough day to grill. Enjoy the fun.

Not sure if I will stay up late enough to see the end of the game. I have to be at work at 6am. It's supposed to start snowing later today, so not even sure if I will be going into work. If the schools are closed than we don't open till 9am. My shift is 6-9am so you see my delimma(sp?).

Right now just enjoying a clean house and a fire going.

Got my stuff cooked for the party. We will be at Becky & Gary's. Which is normal, we swap years back and forth. BUT Rick and I bought our TV, and leaving it to go over there is not making him real happy!!! But he had to revamp the entertainment center---and it turned out great! I have a couple of new shelves, I need to find the right thing for, then that will be that!

We ended up buying our TV at Best Buy, which we did not want to do. I despise their return policy etc. But we went everywhere, and in 3 different stores, we chose the same TV a 52" Samsung. So Sears had the best price--but did not have it in stock, and it was back ordered and they could not even order any until they began filling the back orders. So Best Buy matched their price, and had it in stock. The picture is incredible! It has a million to one dynamic picture ratio, compared to our bedroom TV that has like 30K to one!!! With the changes to the entertainment center, and him working part of yesterday it took all day getting things in and finished. But it looks great, and we are happy with it.

Give our old TV to one of the guys that works for Rick, he said he was interested for his MIL. she did not have a TV---and he wanted to buy it. Rick just give it to him, we have no idea how long it will last, and had no desire to rip anyone off.

I made some queso cheese dip, and have mini tacos, and rolled tacos in both beef and chicken for dipping in it. Have Death By chocolate dessert, some candy---the white chocolate with cherries and pistachios, and pulled pork for sandwiches. Becky has way more than that!! Does not seem like we will have a shortage of food!!

Rick will have a few beers, I won't! I will drink my Diet DP---so I can drive.

Well I am off to see if my candy has set up enough to cut----GO SAINTS!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
