Just curious as to how all of you have been doing since ur surgery in January? Awesome!!

Are you happy about your band? Absolutely, One of the best decisions I have ever made in my life was to get banded! Every day I look in the mirror, I look a little bit more like myself.

How do you love bandster life? No real issues at all! I love it. It is wonderful to not have your life controlled by food and/or body size.

How close are you to your goal? About halfway there.

Do you exercise everyday? Nope. But I should and have an appointment with a trainer for the very first time next week.

Do you PB alot? I have PB'ed about 3 times since getting the band, however I do Productive Sneeze about 3 times a month. Very weird, but I can live with it.

I have had a really busy year. I moved over the summer and I'm still trying to get settled into the new place.

Are you happy about your band?

I love my band. I would do this whole thing all over again. I have lost a total of 77 pounds so far. I was banded on January 20th.

How do you love bandster life?

I have been able to get rid of the seat belt extender in my vehicle. I am down several sizes in my clothing. I love shopping now since I can actually find clothing that will fit me (off the rack, no less)

How close are you to your goal?

I have about 200 pounds left to lose, a long way to go but I'll get there 'one day at a time'

Do you exercise everyday?

I did before I moved and then during the packing and moving process, I didn't have time. I just recently purchased a treadmill so I am trying to get back into the swing of things.

Do you PB alot?

Only when I'm not paying attention to what I am eating or if I am really hungry and I'm eating too fast. (Maybe once a week.)

Are you happy about your band?

Happy is too mild a term. I'm ecstatic.

How do you love bandster life?

I love my life now. I'm walking everywhere, getting more done, and the changes in my life are monumental.

How close are you to your goal?

I'm about halfway there. I've lost around 70 lbs, with about another 70 to go, if I want to listen to the doc. Heck, I could stay right here at a size 18 and be happy, but getting below 200# has become a goal in itself.

Do you exercise everyday?

Not every day, but three times a week I do a mile walk. The rest is "everyday exercise" like mowing the lawn, parking in the back of the shopping mall lot and walking in, or dancing the night away on a date night with the DH. :smile2:

Do you PB alot?

Sometimes yes, especially when I don't pay attention to how I eat. What I eat is easy. It's eating too fast that causes me difficulty more often than not.

Once in awhile I come back here to blog or answer some of the blogs I subscribe to. I'll say that I'm happy where I am, and anything else that I lose is just the cherry on top. I'm happy just as I am now.

I love it BUT i have found that some friend have changed now that I'm not the "fat" friend. anyone have this happen?

I've not lost any friends, but some are treating me differently now. Some friendships have grown closer, some moved apart. The good friends are still good friends.

One man who told me before surgery that I was not sexy now is very flirtatious. If he didn't find me a good companion before, and now he does, I can pretty much guess he's in lust not love. Good thing I'm happily married and was never interested anyway.

Biggest problem I'm having is getting my DH to remember I'm no longer in poor health and barely able to move. I *want* to mow the lawn and garden, doggone it! Gimme back my rake! LOL!

I absolutly love my band. I have lost 82 lbs so far and couldnt be happier. I have had very few issues and would do it again in a heartbeat. A few months ago I had to have my Gall Bladder out becuase I developed Gall Stones (a side effect of weight loss) and have had slow weight loss since. I am getting back into the gym now and work out around 2x a week.

I started as a size 22/24 and am now a size 12/14. YAY!! I would like to lose about 30ish more lbs and I feel like every day I am one step closer to my goal of becoming a police officer.

I have issues with food getting stuck a couple times a week and have to remember to be very careful. I have read the descriptions of PBing and I do something but its not that I dont think. If I get food stuck and it has to come up its like impossible for me to get it up. I usually chill in the bathroom in pain for 20-30 minutes and all that comes up is mucus...it feels so much like throwing up...but not. Its a gross and horrible feeling and I wish I could just PB like other people. :tongue_smilie: Does anyone else do this?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
