Morning All!!

I am up (have been since 4 am -- thanks, cat!!) and working on a friend's business and personal taxes. And her sister's personal taxes -- the sister (and niece) lives with her and does NOTHING -- no job (habitually), perfectly healthy, and the niece dropped out of school so has only 8th grade education. Nice.

Off to see what I can find for breakfast......

Good morning, Violets..

I'm up waiting for Ethan to arrive. Joe just messaged and said they would be here at 9. I could have had an extra hour of sleep, but nooooooo. I couldn't sleep well last night. Too many thoughts racing in my mind. I read on the Kindle from midnight till 1 a.m. Tossed and turned after that.

We watched the men's figure skating last night. It always makes me nervous because I don't like to see anyone fall. Evan did such a great job!!

I'm going out to lunch with the chair of the church board. She and I are on the same page about the pastor so it should be a good visit.

I weighed in this morning, but stayed the same. That's ok cause I know I ate well yesterday and did 36 minutes on the glider. I'm having a hot chocolate with Miralax right now. It will be my only sweet for the 40 days but I rationalize it because of the Miralax.

We are going to Big Boy tonight for their seafood buffet. Should be interesting. I'm taking my lap band ID so I hope to be able to get the child's price.

Off to Facebook and email. Everyone have a great day!!

Good Morning~~

Another almost-regular day here today... boys leave for a soccer weekend, dd goes to school (2-hrs late again, but she goes!), & I work!

MIL is home from hospital... looks like she'll have a round of chemo to try to shrink the mass rather than go in right away to remove it... but she's having more testing on Monday, so plans could change... every day they do, so... I researched prayer shawls patterns last night while watching the O's... am going to purchase supplies & begin one for her today (during my "barn" time).

Must get everyone out the door... bbl...

We have a prayer shawl ministry at our church. I have one here at my chair all the time that my good friend, Betsy, our church organist and fluting buddy gave me. I love it. Your MIL will too.

Hey Girls~

So glad it is Friday. Gonna be hard on Monday after having the last 2 off!

We go to our new house today!!! We have to make appointments with the builder to get in now...so we are excited!

Still trying to figure out about this house...what a PITA!

I have to admit, I have not seen the O's as Michelle calls 'em, except for 20 of Shawn White's qualifying round. I usually enjoy them, but just can't get my head around them this year. Probably because we can't think about additional stresss now...and you know how you get all excited about someone winning. Well our house cheers for 2 countries! Anyway, hope I can watch some soon...I love the skating!

Then about 6, we are meeting Rob n' Charles for tappas and cocktails! Haven't seen them in a long time...looking forward to it!

OK...peaceout girlies...check in from work. We are watching the Boy in the Striped Pajamas today as we prepare to go to the Museum of Tolerance www.museumoftolerance.com next week!

xooxoxox

Yay!! So much fun! I hope you gals are transitioning from the "OMG, what did we do?!" to the "OMG, this is so great!" now! It IS great!!

Now telling me this is just taunting me, pure & simple. Tell 'em "Hi!" from the honorary lesbian!

Have lots of tissues ready -- that movie is such a tear-jerker!!

That is a tear jerker movie for sure!!! I am the queen of sad movies, love them, but this was very hard to watch at end.....Oh my gosh, I don't think I was the same for a couple of hours!!

Suzy, 4 is just tooo early!! I am trying to decide whether I want to go back to cpa or do them myself. I am self employed, so that makes it a little stickier, plus I am in an investment club, that is considered a partnership. I have done both ways just not sure about this year.,

I still can't help but love the video of Carson!! I went and looked again!!

Oh well, I need to hop in shower for work!!

Have a good day and a GREAT weekend.

Good afternoon, Violets..

Back from lunch. I had a small bowl of mushroom/veggie Soup with wild rice. It was a brothy soup rather than creamy... very yummy. AND, I did not eat one single oyster cracker. I didn't even open the packet. Had a good talk and then back home and outside in the snow with Ethan. We made snowballs and threw them at Jetta. She loves to snatch them and eat them! Then we played the "Gramma can push Ethan in the snow again and again" game. His mom should be coming any time now to pick him up and I get my car back FINALLY!! Their car has been out of commission for almost 2 months now. Course mom and dad had to foot the bill for the repair or it never would have gotten done, but at least I will have my vehicle again. Bob is in town filming a local TV show that he and the Epispocal priest in town started about 20 years ago. It's was called Christianity today and was a talk show dealing with today's topics and how Christians react to them. There is no more money for funding it, so they asked him to come back and do the final show giving a retrospective of the 20 years. Yes, I am married to a tv star.

I shared a pear with Ethan.. who would have thought a pear could get stuck?? It's going down really slowly. Yup.. I still have a band!!

Off to check Facebook and email and then out to dinner in a couple of hours. Everyone have a good evening!

M at the barn, basking in the sun.. it feels so good!

I bought the yarn for the shawl & am about to start it, but am feeling like a lazy cat in the sun. Mmmmmmmm.

Judy, your day sounds delightful!

Haydee, Shutter Island looks crazy scary! Ack!

Janie, taxes suck. Let someone else do them.

Everyone have a great Fri eve!!

I wanna see Shutter Island, Crazies, and Valentine's Day... but Sat. night is date night, and it's just so cold I'd rather stay at home. Our theater is like a mile walk outside to get to it from parking lot. BRRR. We did it a couple times in Jan, and it was miserable, and now it's a lot colder. Makes a wind tunnel between all the buildings too. Getting miserable just thinkin' about it.

Hope these movies come out quickly heh heh!

Mom said go Sunday morning before we pick him up, but that would require waking up early on the only day I get to sleep in...nah!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
