Any one Banded 8/4/09 or 1st week of August

Recommended Posts

I was banded 8/15/09. I am down 70 lbs. as of yesterday. Feeling great. I can eat really anything only twice has something gotten stuck. I don't eat bread because that is a change I wanted to make. I do exercise alot. Plus I really watch what I eat. Feeling great was the best thing I ever did.

Good Job Kim good motivation. I need your encouragement:thumbup:

I'm not hating on you I'm so proud of you. It's people like you that give others motivation. Eventhough the thought of I wish it was me. Good job and keep up the good work.:w00t:

It really does help reading everyone's comments. I was so motivated I took my teenage daughter to the gym ! We began on the treadmill and then did a full 2 set of weights. I never wanna exercise but I always feel good both emotionally and physically afterwards. And now that my daughter is old enough to work out with me, she kept me going when I wanted to stop after the treadmill. We have made a commitment to go 5 times per week. I am gonna be sore tomorrow but that's a good thing! Thanks everyone!

Ok Everyone,

Check up time! I am trying to see how many people are still active on this board and how are you guys doing??!

I have finally gotten into a groove: exercising at the gym most days including cardio and weight training and I am eating very healthy. I even got a pedometer, even though it is not very accurate. You see how I am doing. I just set small goals each week: 1-2 lbs.

So far, so good. I absolutely have no regrets and wish I had gotten this band years ago!

I too have NO regrets, I wish I had had this done years ago. I could not be anymore satisfied with my results, my looks, and how I feel!!! I hope everyone else is doing well and happy. Take Care. ~Carol

Great news!

I was a little slow at getting started. But I'm 171# today! I think I am at my sweet spot. I eat approx 1/4 to 1/2 cup per meal. Usually something easy. I tried scrambled egg today, and it is NOT my friend!

I'm still learning. I'm so glad I went through with this. I am hoping to reach my goal by my 40th birthday which is in October.

Great CarrieLynn!

What a great attitude! I say the slower to come off , the easier to keep off! It looks like we both began at the same weight. I strongly feel we will both reach or goals and one way to ensure that is to keep posting! I , for one, am now happy when I look in the mirror. For years I avoided it but no more. When I get into the 140's I am gonna start trying on my thinner clothes and get rid of my fat clothes! What freedom that will be!

Hey everyone!

How are all you August 2009 Bandsters?! My Anniversary was 8/1/10 and I am pretty damn happy! I am not at my goal and am frustrated that it is coming off slowly, but I got rid off all my big clothes. I need to really stick with an exercise regime as I do well for awhile, then I just stop! Very frustrating my behavior is! I am afraid I will get comfortable and regain. I need to remember that this is a lifelong process!

Anyway,,,I would love some updates....

Susan

I was banded 8-3-09. LOL I weighted 208 as well. I'm 5'2". And your doing quite well compared to me. I'm down 43 pounds. I have 40 more to go to my goal.

I too got rid of all my fat clothes. I was afraid that having them I would go back to them.

This way I refuse to buy a bigger size. Only smaller.

I have Wii fit and got bored with it to today my hubby bought me the Biggest Looser. I'm telling you just 1/2 an hour today and I'm feeling it! =)

Please stay in touch!

I was banded 8/4/10! So glad I'm not the only one lol. At first you feel that way. Did anyone have the "Oh No!!! What did I just do?" moment the first couple of days??? I'm a week out today and I'm up to Soups. I've eaten chicken shreds and chrimp but chewed them til the flavor ran out lol! Water is key here but I can only drink so much. How is everyone feeling?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
