Hey Robin ... thanks for sharing the Tummy Tuck pictures! That is next on my "body & fender" agenda once I reach my goal weight. I am familiar with your website and it was an inspiration to me while I was doing my research before being banded. Thank you for sharing your story and I can't wait to be looking as great as you.

I'm SO glad there are so many bandsters who aren't afraid to share the nitty-gritty. What's the scar like? I'm hoping that I won't have to have plastic surgery for anything other than a breast lift, but you look MARVELOUS!!! I'm counting down to August 5th and am just in a fog with the idea that I could ACTUALLY be average sized again. It just seems like it's too good to be true. I could ramble on this, but I'll spare everyone. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THE PHOTOS!!!! I wish you'd post some new ones on your homepage as well. What's the scar like?

You are my new hero.. that is on my todo list after I get to goal. I have so many scars on my tummy now that are so ugly. I figure that one is better then 6. How long were you off on this one? I know that this is much more of a major surgery.

Great job - you look great!

Now I know that I am not the only one that sees that tummy in the mirror(your before pic). I call it the c-section hang over.. YUK!!:(

So that's what they call it ... a C-Section Hang Over??? Well my HANGOVER has now lasted for 23 long years!!! I can relate all too well since I survived two stem to stern c-sections. My tummy has never been the same since. However ... Robin's pics give me hope that I too will be proud to sport around in purple one day!

I'll be a prancin' pony!

Hi

Well I've also had my TT done and I must say I am very happy with it, they couldn't do a full TT on me because I had an Open Band repair and they where worried about blood flow to the skin had they gone up under the scared area.

My pictures are on my website under the TT section also my photo section has my photo story of the past 4 years as I lost almost 300 pounds.

My TT was done early due to a port problem and they wanted the TT done to solve this problem.

Anyway Robin you have done very well and hope you can continue do so well always as all of us want to.

Robin,

My jaw is still dropped. Your doc did an awesome job.

Was the TT covered by insurance ? How much was the procedure ?

Also, thanks for linking to our site from your web page ;-) .

I have a question ...

Will everyone need a Tummy Tuck after the weightloss??

My skin is very sensitive, Even the bandaid that I put on the incision caused my skin to flare up. I don't think I could recover from a tummy tuck....

Hi Robin,

You don't know me...but I have been following your progress on your websight for months now! I started out around the same weight as you and your story gave me a lot of motivation to go for the surgery for myself! I am so glad I did! Thanks for posting your story and pictures! You are an inspiration!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
