I used Dr Quiroz at cosmed and was happy with the results and they way I was treated. I was taken care of by the doctor and the staff. I would use them again and I am planning on a breast lift next year with them.

How long did you have to stay in Mexico? Did you have any drains and if so did you get them out before you left?

My Husband and I are planning to stay 2 weeks. Will that be enough time. I am looking at having an extended Tummy Tuck and liposculpt and a breast lift. It is so good to hear from someone that has used there services. Thank you very much

Thanks for all the replies. My wife has researched all the places and has decided to use Dr. Campos in Tijuana. She has a friend that was also banded by Dr. Ortiz in tijuana and she had her lower body lift by Dr. Campos last week.

She is getting a lower body lift, Lipo to lower back and waist, that will be fat grafted to the butt and arm lift. With airfaire and accomodations total is about $9000.

This was the best price we could find and she really liked the receptionist that she talked with that answered all her questions. You can google him at: Jaime Campos-Leon in Tijuana.

Hi Crimsontide,

Let me know how your wife does and how she likes it there. I am looking at Jan or Feb of 2010. How long is she planning to stay? I am really looking forward to hearing from you about her surgery and how everything goes. I am just starting to research the Mexico facilities the more info I get the better I will feel especially if the recomendations come from someone that is lapbanded.

Yes I had two drains and I wished I wouldn't have stayed down there so long with hopes of having my drains removed. I thought I was going to have them removed in 10 days but one was two weeks and the other 3 weeks. It really wasn't that bad other than the thigh Lipo which I would never do again nor recommend. That was the most painful not the incision. I had a LBL with the thigh lipo and the LBL was easy compared to the lipo. I am getting ready to have a breast lift next year and possibly a thigh lift we shall see haven't made my mind up on that one yet.

Tide, honestly as much as I like Dr Cardenas and the crew in Monterrey, I don't think I would have a lower body lift out of country unless I was prepared to stay at least 6 wks, because there can be loads of edema and Fluid pocked accumulation that could be a set up for infection if not drained properly. If she is not near her surgeon it would not be possible to do that as she might need it and it is extremely hard to get a US doc to do follow up for other proceedures so I would bet the same with Plastics. I did know of one woman from Louisiana who went and had LBL and returned after two weeks and at some point she became septic and ended up in intensive care with a load of complications. It was not the fault of the Doc in Tijuana who did it, but I think they should require a long stay for follow up. I am not trying to scare ya here, but in thinking about possible additional surgeries for me, I don't think I would ever do that one, but If I did, I would want to be near my surgeon quiet a few weeks.

I do think Cardenas is an artist, and would probably return to him if I was going to have LBL, but like I said, only with intent of staying there at least 6 wks, then cost would be equal to here.

I will post some more pics soon, prob when I wash my hair and post without bandages. I have to wear them all time except changes for another week, then can leave them off at night, then next week, can leave them off in day time and wear at night.

Most bruising is gone except right under jaw. My daughter and Kathy and oldest grand absolutely love it, but the youngest is freaked out a bit by the changes in her Nama! I told her I was still the same OLD Nama, that I just fixed myself so I would look prettier. Don't know that it will be okay with her or not. But you guys might want to prepare the children. My daughter had talked to the kids about it, but Graicen can't even remember me being real fat. It is hard for her to conceive that her Old Nama was ever a baby faced gal!

talk to you soon,

Corliss

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
