Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor I really need some help

Recommended Posts

I've been banded for voer a year, and so far I have GAINED 30lbs. its my fault, and I've had so much stress over the last year, with starting college and family problems, that my weight fluctuated...until i just ballooned to my highest weight. Please, anybody that has been in the same situation, or can help me start to get back on track, I would really appreciated. I'm 19, so I would love if anyone that was younger who would be more relatable help me, BUT in all honestly, if theres ANYBODY, AGE SEX WHATEVER I DON'T CARE. i'm on my knees begging for someone to just give me a boost in the right direction because I've sort of hit rock bottom with this thing.

Thank You,

T

First off let this be the start of your new band life. Don't look back anymore, look forward. You need to make a conscious effort to start following the rules of the band. Then you need to start incorporating exercise in your day. One thing you really need to do is make the band one of your most significant priorities. The band will make you happier, healthier, and perhaps better equipped to deal with the stressors in your life. Take it day by day, hour by hour if you have to. Just remember you have a whole family of supporters here to help. Anytime you need to talk email me, I will try my best to help you. The most important thing you need to know is you ARE worth it!

Don't get frustrated. I would reccomend that you find a good support group or a good " coach ". This approach will help you focus on the triggers, habits and reasons you might be slipping. remember the band is only one tool in your daily life that will assist you in reaching you goals if you have defined them. If I can help with any issues contact me. I'm 6-2 was banded 1/26/08 and weighted 304 today I'm at 203. i had my ups and downs but regained my focus and am very plesed with where I am today

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
