My march for mandatory avatars

DeLarla

Recommended Posts

Blah blah blah, I know this isn't going to fly, but I want to see avatars on every single member, STAT.

I realize they aren't mandatory, but they sure are fun. If anyone wants help shrinking a picture, lots of people here will help. I even learned how to shrink one, so post up!

Patty, just post a picture, any size. One of us will shrink it. Or e-mail one of us a pic. I volunteer Penni or Kelly unless you want to wait for me to get home tonight. I can do it now from my home puter! lisabones@cox.net

I suppose I'm ready to do one. Ya'll have seen my funny mug a time or two, but something about it popping up on EVERY post!! Plus, I like my Blossom-y wreath. It a kind of silent homage. Let me find a pic with my eyes unsquinted from smiling through buck-teeth and I'll see if I can stand it ;)

I think with Jack we have to say "please Jack, won't you post your picture?" We know what happened the last time he posted his pics...

DeLarla, I don't even have a pic on my computer. I do have a scanner, just not sure how to use the dang thing. I will get my daughters help, maybe she will have time for dear old mom this weekend?

Yep, I'm casting my vote too -- it's fun to put faces with the posts. ;) And hey, we're all fat or all started out that way, so you're not allowed to worry about puffy cheeks, double chins, flat hair or anything like that -- it'll just make you look all that much better when you update your avatar later! :)

Well aren't you a bossy sassafrass! Sheesh, give the woman a few good toys and see how it goes to her head!

;)

I had a pic on here somewhere (in the "Not for the Timid" thread) if a kind moderator wants to shrink and avatarish it? I don't have the jpeg on this computer anymore.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
